On August 24, 2019, Danish Princess Benedikte attended the opening of the Youth Island (Middelgrundsfort) which is located in Øresund between Copenhagen and Malmö. The construction of the island has recently been completed. The Youth Island is an activity platform and development center for all Danish young people. The Middelgrundsfort was originally built in 1894, and was acquired and donated to the Danish Scout movement by The A.P. Møller Foundation and the Nordea Foundation in 2015 – and so the creation of the Youth Island aka Ungdomsøen was started. The Youth Island is the world’s largest artificially landscaped island.

King Felipe VI went to Quiron University Hospital in Madrid with his mother, Queen Sofia, when the operation was completed. As he left the hospital afterwards, King Felipe VI of Spain said he was "very happy" about how the surgery was performed, adding that "everything went perfectly" in a statement to reporters waiting at the hospital entrance.

The dog is a "Bichon Frise" of Danish descent and its name is "Cerise". Cerise means cherry in Danish and thus, Danish royal family carries on the tradition of naming their dogs after a fruit. Norwegian Princess Martha Louise's holiday in Bodrum, Turkey

Norwegian Princess Martha Louise returned to Norway after completing her 4 day holiday in Bodrum. On the 2nd day of their holiday in Bodrum, Princess Martha Louise and Shaman Durek attended a dinner at Rebis Hotel at the invitation of Mayor of Bodrum, Ahmet Aras. On the 3rd day of the holiday, Martha Louise and Durek toured the bays of Bodrum by a motor yacht they rented. On the 4th day of their arrival in Bodrum, Princess Martha Louise departed from Bodrum to return to her country, Norway. Shaman Durek and the people with him still continue their holiday in Bodrum. Bhutan visit of Japanese Crown Prince Family, 2nd day

On the second day of their visit to Bhutan, on August 19, Crown Prince Akishino, Crown Princess Kiko and Prince Hisahito visited Tashichho Dzong in Thimphu. The family were welcomed by King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema. The family also met the Gyalsey (Crown Prince) Jigme Namgyel Wangchuck. Following the Audience, the Japanese Imperial Family were invited to lunch at the Lingkana Palace. Japanese Crown Prince Family arrived in Bhutan on Saturday for a private visit on the invitation of The King of Bhutan.

Emperor Naruhito, Masako and Aiko visited Nasu Imperial Villa

On August 19, 2019, Emperor Naruhito, Empress Masako, and Princess Aiko traveled to Nasu Town, Tochigi Prefecture to spend their summer holiday at the Nasu Imperial Villa. About 450 people welcomed the imperial family at JR Nasushiobara Station. The royals greeted well-wishers for about 30 minutes. Princess Aiko spoke to a fellow 3rd year high school student about club activities and exams after summer vacation. The Imperial family will stay to take a rest at Nasu Imperial Villa for a few days.

On August 18, 2019, Prince Carl Philip of Sweden competed in the Scandinavian Porsche Carrera Cup held at the Gelleråsen Arena in Karlskoga, Sweden. Swedish Princess Sofia came to Gelleråsen Arena together with her two sons, Prince Alexander and Prince Gabriel to support Prince Carl Philip participating in the race held at Gelleråsen Arena. Queen Elizabeth visited Braemar and Crathie Parish Church

On August 17, 2019, Saturday, Queen Elizabeth II visited Braemar and Crathie Parish Church in Aberdeenshire. The Queen attended the Braemar and Crathie Parish Church sale of work at Crathie Kirk Hall in Braemar. The parish of Braemar and Crathie is set in the Cairngorms National Park and since 1979 Crathie Kirk has been linked with the Church in Braemar. The Queen is currently enjoying her fourth week at Balmoral Castle which is 6.8 miles east of Braemar.
