I liked this outfit more when I could only see the top half of it.

I thought the same thing. I had imagined a dress of some sort that might work, even with the layers of distracting jewelry. ~d

    2. Exactly what I thought. Although, even with only the upper part, it's still too loose and swallowing her. Pity.

No, to this jumpsuit, it is horrible. The print is too large and this outfit is not a good choice for the occasion. Less jewelry would have look better.

I agree, mjt. If it's supposed to be fun, it missed the mark. It's either daisies or sunnyside-up eggs that were dropped onto the material & splattered. Queen Sofia seems to like wearing lots of little chains & bracelets at the same time. ~Laurel~

  4. I think this print would have looked better as one of her flowy caftan tops with some slimmer trousers in a solid color. But she looks like she is having a great time!

Yes! to this outfit. Fun and quirky, so nice to see this on someone in her 80's. While I'm usually not a fan of jumpsuits, the top is nicely fitted and QS wears it with attitude. Brava! S.M.

  6. Very clownish, and so much jewelry! A total fail.

    1. Clown was the first thing that entered my mind too. What on earth was Queen Sofia thinking?

I think she looks fantastic, this jumpsuit is happy, fluid and seems to be cool, she is finally wearing what she likes best. The jewelry is atrocious and endearing at the same time.

This is a theater festival and not a funeral, so this loosely fitted jumpsuit is perfectly suitable for the occasion. Of course, not everybody has to like it - but horrible it is not. I quite like it, it is fun.. Agree about the jewelry though, less could have been more. (-Ann.)

  9. Love Queen Sofia but this outfit is grim! It really looks like a dressing gown or pyjamas. . Can't find anything positive about it

  10. Everyone seems to be overjoyed that Queen Sofia is attending this event! I will agree that her multi strands of small necklaces leaves a lot to be desired. I have always felt that if she would wear one large statement necklace it would give more oomph to her choice of clothing!

  11. Love this so much, the pattern, the elegance and modern simplicity, the tailoring so that it drapes and doesn't flare or cling - very nice for a royal summer outing. Timeless.

  12. It is great that Queen Sofia is enjoying herself. Everyone seems happy to see her. Even with the black background, her outfit looks summery and cheerful. Her multitude of necklaces and bracelets do not enhance her look but, for her own reasons, she needs to wear them.
