Princess Ingrid Alexandra started the 10th grade at Uranienborg School

On August 19, Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway started the 10th grade at Uranienborg School in Oslo. Princess Ingrid Alexandra was accompanied by her mother, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, as she arrived at Uranienborg School. August 19 was Crown Princess Mette-Marit's birthday and there is a photo of the Crown Princess on her Instagram account which shows her with same outfits and with flowers in her hand. Uranienborg school is located in west Oslo at a distance of about 530 metres from the Royal Palace. Princess Ingrid Alexandra will be confirmed in the Palace Chapel at the Royal Palace on Saturday, 31 August 2019.

MM made fun of herself and said she went for the casual look, and just put on her pj ;)

    1. Las chicas españolas tienen 12 y 13 años. Es bastante diferencia.

The "Spanish girls" as you put it are not 15. Leonor is 13 and Sofia is 12.

      The Dutch girls are 15, 14, 12
The Spanish girls are turning 14, 13 this year. only one year difference. they are all teenagers.

    4. Sigue usted equivocada. Sofía de España cumplió 12 en abril, Leonor cumplirá 14 el 31 de octubre. Ingrid A. cumplirá 16 en enero, así que no, no es "sólo un año".

  4. Princess Ingrid Alexandra looks like the typical teenage student, complete with burgeoning backpack. She is a lovely young lady. I think it is sweet that her mother accompanied her to school, but, if Ingrid Alexandra is like most teenagers, she probably would have preferred to go solo.

I actually quite like this casual everyday outfit. The colours pair well, but what I really like is the collusion of pattern and actual textures. MM looks like she has lost weight. Lovely to see her smiling and happy. She's one of my favs.

  8. I feel Mette-Marit's outfit shouldn't work but it does! I like the burgundy and blue combination. As for Princess Ingrid Alexandra, many schools in Scotland have been back for over a week and lots of our pupils would have the same expression on their first day back. Princess Ingrid Alexandra is roughly the same age as Princess Catharina Amalia--there is only one month between them in age but she is nearly two years older than the Princess of the Asturias. Prince Gabriel of Belgium is roughly the same age as well. There can be a massive change in children in their early mid teens as everyone knows. It is particularly noticeable for 15/16 year olds after the summer break--many have literally grown inches over the summer holidays

    1. I agree @Geli, you cannot compare a thirteen year old to a fifteen year old -(why compare after all?) - there lie worlds between these two ages as any mother of teenage girls will know.
This is a photo of Princess Ingrid Alexandra at the age of 13 - looks very similar to Princess Leonor this summer

And here she was 12 https://www.royalcourt.no/fotoalbum.html?tid=71302&sek=27823&kategori=71299#2016

And here is a picture of Princess Elisabeth at the age of thirteen

Elisabeth has grown into a beautiful young woman and will turn 18 in a few weeks. I feel for these young heiresses. It must be diffucult to go through puberty in the eye of the public. All of their parents do a great job. And let's not forget Crown Princess Victoria who has gone through some difficult times during these years and even developped anorexia.

Some people critisized that Ingrid did not smile on this photo. I don't think it was an official photosession. Just paparazzis again. She did perfectly fine on her official engagements during the year. Leave the girls alone!
