  2. Water Prize or Flower Prize? Way too much floral action going on with the women's gowns. Queen Silvia's ensemble alone is overkill, although the style is nice and it fits her well. /Julie/

  4. The Queen is beautiful in her pink hued gown and her pink satin shoes. The King is very handsome but I so wish he would smile occasionally.

    1. The King does smile... occasionally, that we see. Apparently in private he is a real hoot and loves to laugh. Maybe it's just his public persona and his upbringing was to be serious in public. /Julie/

    2. In private our King is a completely different person but this is his serious look that shows when he 'works'.

  5. Although it is such an overwhelming pattern, I think this dress looks lovely on Queen Silvia. I love the design with the overskirt and love the pink shoes. The dresses of the two who are greeting the Queen are very nice too, even though they are also flowery

  10. Queen S. looks lovely; that floery dress is a good way to start to say goodbye to summer. Dr Jackie King looks stunning too and the colour of her dress is entirely appropriate to the nature of her work and to the spirit of the prize awarded to her.

  11. Queen Silvia looks stunning in her pink hued flowing gown. I love the wrap around skirt attached to the dress itself. Gives the gown a rather old world effect. She always shines at these formal occasions.
