On December 21, the traditional Christmas photos of King Harald, Queen Sonja and the Crown Prince's family were released. The photo shoot took place in the Palace Chapel this time. On the fourth Sunday of Advent, The King and Queen, Crown Prince Haakon, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus attended a service held in the Palace Chapel and traditional Christmas photo shoot took place there.
This year, King Harald and Queen Sonja will be with their children and grandchildren at Skaugum on Christmas Eve and the first day of Christmas.

What an amazingly beautiful family!
I like Princess' Ingrid Alexandra new haircut, she looks lovely. But those tights... As for Prince Sverre Magnus, well, badly matched or tailored suit. Nontheless, they all look happy and that's what counts. Blessings for upcoming Christmas!
ReplyDeleteAnyone that has had boys knows that they grow like weeds. SM may have sprouted and needed new trousers but his coat still fit well enough. For as often as young men wear suits, even royal young men, why buy a new suit? I have had the same thing happen with my growing teens. Maybe they replaced the trousers to get one or two more wearings out of the jacket? It is not a big deal to me. It may also just be the lighting and the suit is complete.
DeleteIngrid Alexandra's black dress is lovely, only the thick tights are a bit too much, I prefer the model's way.
ReplyDeleteit is cold in Norway in winter, she really needs thick thights with this kind of short dress
DeleteI think Princess Ingrid looks gorgeous in her black dress + with the tights. Given her age + the cold seasonal weather at Christmas, tights would be cosy + comforting. Most teenagers Ingrid's age still prefer tights rather than bare legs or nude stockings.
DeleteThe ladies look ab fab and the men look dapper, such a lovely family.
ReplyDeleteThe Queen's white dress and green jewellery is a very nice touch and I simply adore the colour print of the Crown Princess' dress.
The King's red Christmas tie just bright up the festive mood - Merry Christmas everyone!
I second your thoughts and wishes!
DeleteLove the entire family. God jul to them all.

I think all of them look wonderful, and they seem very much in a festive mood. I particularly like the photograph of the king and queen, fourth from the top, in which the queen is looking up at the king with a grin as if the king has said something funny.
ReplyDeleteThat was my thoughts too. She was looking up at him with a cheeky grin that seemed in response to a probable witty remark made by the King. Maybe an "in-home" between "husband + wife" that was overheard by the photographer, hence, both the King + Queen trying to almost stifle their laughter
DeleteThe Queen is lovely, however, ditch the white stockings from the 80's.
ReplyDeleteFinally someone made the effort to make an actual Christmas card, and not just chose a photo from summer holidays! A very nice, festive royal family in front of a beautiful Christmas tree. Well done! Fashion wise - everybody looks wonderful! Merry Christmas! :)
ReplyDeleteI agree!
DeleteBeautiful family photos. Love MM's dress, gorgeous.

The picture of the King and Queen, and the picture of the Crown Prince and family are very nice. I don't like the first picture of all together, They should be closer to each other.
ReplyDeleteThe are standing correctly according to the corona restrictions! Lovely pictures!
