  4. She is beautiful, sans doute, and she has a very pleasant voice. Nevertheless, she does not have the “it” factor that her mother had and still has...... Caroline was not only more beautiful but she has this inborn elegance, that her daughter misses, IMO of course.....

    1. Totally agree: she misses the class of her mother.
I think she is often illdressed.

  7. I remember how gorgeous she was as the face of Gucci cosmetics and now it is only fitting she is the Ambassador for Chanel. Her mother Princess Caroline was very close friends with Karl Lagerfeld.

  8. Our idea of beauty changes with the generations, and she is very beautiful. I can't see the need to compare her to her mother, nor to compare Caroline to Grace. Each woman is an individual and beautiful in her own way. She will be a perfect ambassador to represent Chanel for this generation. She is well versed in the history of fashion and Chanel. She understands, on a deeper level, what designers are trying to say with their designs. I think she can help educate her contemporaries so the history does not end with this more superficial generation.

    1. I have my own idea of beauty, no need to lecture others on what beauty is, as it is not exactly science. Furthermore, I am not in the least intersted into into intellectualizing fashion or its models either, Thank you.

    2. @Lily T. There was no lecturing on "what beauty is". It is a fact that our idea of beauty changes with time. https://www.scienceofpeople.com/beauty-standards/ While you may not be interested in intellectualizing fashion, it is a part of fashion, and Charlotte is an intellectual. Just ignore what doesn't interest you. BTW, there is something to the science of beauty as well, which has been discussed on this blog fairly recently. Some are interested, some are not.

I maintain that there is no point in comparing Charlotte, Caroline, and Grace. They are 3 different women of 3 different eras and each is beautiful. They are also individuals and should be looked at in that way, in my opinion. Men have belittled women for one reason or another since the beginning of time. I hate to see women pitting one woman against another for something so trivial.

  9. Well that will increase her bank balance; a few free outfits. I really think she looks a bit sad in the first photo. Beauty isn't all it is cracked up to be; then when the wrinkles start. I think intelligence; emotional and common sense get people through life more successfully. Clothes oh look chanel 5,000 thousand pounds; or food the choice is there. Chanel's fashion was to be for the masses what happened there; if you watch the story of her life. The clothes is well made and hand sewn.

  10. @Anon 4:26....... of course the overall opinion on beauty changes with time, BUT I am talking of MY opinion and I find Caroline more elegant than Charlotte. Are you okay with the fact that I have an opinion of my own? Oh and also this: I compare everyone with everyone else when I fell like it....
