Prince Sverre Magnus Celebrates His 13th Birthday

Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway celebrates his 13th birthday today. On the occasion of that birthday, the Norwegian Royal Court released a new photo showing together Prince Sverre Magnus and his sister Princess Ingrid Alexandra. Prince Sverre Magnus was born on 3 December 2005 at Rikshospitalet University Hospital in Oslo. The Prince is the Crown Prince couples second child together, and he is number three in the line for the crown after his father Crown Prince Haakon and big sister Princess Ingrid Alexandra. The prince is a student at Oslo Montessori School, where he started in the autumn of 2014. Happy birthday to you, Prince Sverre Magnus of Norway.

Funeral of Count Oscar 'Oscis' Bernadotte af Wisborg

On December 2, 2018, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended the funeral of Count Oscar Bernadotte af Wisborg, held at Rasbo Church in Uppsala. Count Oscar Bernadotte af Wisborg was a second cousin of King Carl XVI Gustaf’s father as well as of King Harald V of Norway, King Baudouin I of Belgium and the late Queen Ingrid of Denmark. Count Oscar 'Oscis' Bernadotte af Wisborg died at the age of 97 on the 2nd of November.

Queen Rania meets second graduating cohort of QRTA

On December 2, 2018, Queen Rania of Jordan visited the Queen Rania Teacher Academy (QRTA) in Amman, where she met with members of the second cohort of the Teacher Education Professional Diploma (TEPD). The Queen also met with QRTA’s third cohort, consisting of 786 student teachers and 141 school principals. The TEPD plans to graduate 3,000 teachers by year 2021, in accordance with the National Strategy for Human Resource Development.

Iceland celebrates 100th anniversary of its independence. On the occasion of the celebrations, Danish Queen Margrethe II visited Iceland on December 1, 2018. The Queen firstly visited the Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre and was received by Iceland’s President Gudni Thorlacius Johannesson and First Lady Eliza Jean Reid. The Queen attended a luncheon at Harpa. Iceland’s President and Danish Prime Minister Lars Løkke Rasmussen also attended the luncheon.

Yesterday was World AIDS Day. The patron of Danish AIDS Fund, Danish Princess Marie attended a memorial ceremony held for 2018 World AIDS Day at Copenhagen Gammeltorv (Old Market) Square. The Princess took part in the candle lighting event, a tradition that enlightens World AIDS Day. The candle lighting event is held for the purpose of memorializing every person who died because of AIDS and HIV.

Grand Duchess Maria Teresa of Luxembourg was invited to speak at the XVth edition of Les Entretiens de Royaumont (The Royaumont Interviews) in Paris. This year, the theme of the event was "Being a woman" (Être une femme). With around 400 participants over the course of two days, the Royaumont Interviews was held in the Royaumont Abbey around 50 kilometers from Paris. This annual event gathers French CEOs and top managers from several companies since 2003.

Buenos Aires visit of Queen Maxima for the G20 Summit, 2nd day
