  1. A question, why do you call the two duchesses by their famiy names and all the other royal ladies by their title after their entry to the royal families?
They are the duchess of Cambridge and the duchess of Sussex,as they are queen Maxima, not Maxima Zorreguietta,Crown Princess mary, not Mary Donaldson, etc.

    Please explain to me!

    1. Officially, they are still called Duchesses of Cambridge and Sussex. These 2 women simply get international media attention too much, from before their weddings, more than Mary or Maxima ever did. Hence, for Kate and Meghan, their maiden names stuck with the media, which didn't happen for others.

    2. I think Anonym 6.41pm is quite right, particulalrly since Meghan was already "a name" from her previous career.

    3. I agree with Regalia. Seeing "Kate Middleton" after all these years is ridiculous. Or articles about "Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall", as if they not related to each other. The British press especially should know better. It took the media 13 long years to finally quit calling her "Camilla Parker Bowles", so they're obviously still struggling with Kate and Meghan.

    4. I do not blame the British Press, I blame their ignorance.

  2. It is interesting. Although personally Meghan os not really my favourite, watching these videos I cant see any kind of drift the media tries to proove. Moving to Frogmore is absolutely logical with a newborn. So good luck for them in 2019! And happy new year everyone 🤩

    1. I think you are correct Szilvia. Although no family gets along perfectly all the time, I think a big "rift" was a media creation to collect hits on tabloid websites. And it worked, which is sad.
I also wish every one of them the best in 2019, especially the new parents-to-be. Having a child is a profound life change and is challenging enough withoit negative outside nonsense.

  3. Hope in 2019 there is less trash written about them, only what really counts. I know this is wishful thinking, well I can hope?

  4. "Duchess (first name as officially given)" - and same: "Princess _____," "Queen _____..." if not using official titles or in person. 'Kate' became Duchess Catherine upon her wedding.

    1. No, not so. "Duchess of ______" is correct or Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge but never, ever Duchess Catherine. Duchess, Countess, Marchioness etc. cannot be used in the same way as Princess or Queen to precede a first name.

  5. What a nice idea to share this. I like it a lot. Especially because it is against all the negative attention, rumours etc. This shows uniting, not splitting!
Wish them all the very best for 2019!
