British Royal family members got together for Queen's pre-Christmas Lunch

On December 18, 2019, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, Prince Edward, The Countess of Wessex, Lady Louise, Prince Andrew, Princess Beatrice, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, Princess Anne, Sir Tim Laurence, The Duchess of Gloucester, Mike and Zara Tindall and other members of the royal family attended the Queen's annual pre-Christmas lunch at Buckingham Palace in London. (The Duchess of Cambridge wore a new pleated tartan dress (custom version) by Emilia Wickstead.)
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their three young children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis are all expected to spend Christmas with Queen Elizabeth at her Sandringham estate in Norfolk.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not attend the annual Buckingham Palace party, because the couple are currently on a six-week break from royal duties and are thought to have taken their seven-month-old son Archie abroad to see Meghan's mother, Doria.

    1. LOL! Miss W, I am sure there will be someone to ridicule you for your last comment. However, never were truer words spoken and you made me smile, thanks!

  2. Looove the beautiful full, sheer sleeves on Catherine’s dress — an unexpected twist that really changes up the look of what would otherwise be a very nice, but rather ordinary dress.

    1. She wears bespoke version without sheer sleeves.

    2. Oh, that disappoints me. I was going by the earlier set of photos and the version of the dress worn by the model, as Catherine was only pictured behind the wheel.

  4. The Cambridges travel in separate cars but not on separate airplanes. Strange. *Rose*

    1. So what there's nothing to make a big deal out of. People really need to relax.

    2. Please don't continue foul rumours on this site. Children have different schedules which often requires both parents to do the chauffeuring. The Wessexes arrived separately and no one is saying anything about that.

    3. I've seen couples arrive to this event in separate cars before, then leave together. Pointless to speculate - need more information before forming a conclusion.

    4. Well, with three kids - two needing car seats - they would had to come in a large range roover or mini van as opposed to a car like everyone else. I don't think it had to with security as much as enough space. But I could be wrong.

    5. Actually I think I read somewhere that between three carseats, the nanny, and the protection officers, there wasn't enough room for all of them. But they all left together so maybe William and George went shopping or something before they all met for the lunch. The nanny and the protection officers could have come back in the other vehicle. Not sure. (Jane)

    6. They all left in the same one together. Often protection uses a second car anyway. The awes sexes arrived in separate cars as so many often have.
      Love the festive plaid.

    1. Yes indeed, Lady Louise is a pretty young girl now, but from what I can see on the photo, she might try a feathery bob with a long fring. It would balance the architecture of her very cute young face and give her an altogether more individual appearance.
As I see it, Lady Louise, a normal pupil with normal young girls and boys around her, mustn't necessarely look so very well-behaved as she does yet.

    2. Lady Louise has naturally thick, wavy hair. Bangs are can be very hard to pull off with that type of hair.

At least the Queen can look forward to seeing some of her grandchildren which is so nice at Christmas;then it will be off to Sandringham;as A radio announcer I have great delight telling my listeners that she caught the train from London to Kings Lynn on a particular day. I hear Harry and Meghan are looking for a house in the US.Zara and Princess Anne are no fuss.
