Each year in June, members of the Order of the Garter gather in Windsor to celebrate the crown’s most noble order, which has existed since 1348. On June 16, King Charles, Queen Camilla, the Prince of Wales, the Duke of Edinburgh, Princess Anne, and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester attended the Order of the Garter service at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle. The Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Edinburgh, who are not yet members of the Order, were also in attendance.
The Order of the Garter is the oldest and most senior Order of Chivalry in Britain, established by King Edward III nearly 700 years ago. Most members of the royal family usually attend the annual service, and many senior working royals are Knights and Ladies of the Order.
