On October 29, 2019, Japanese Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako hosted the third of four "Kyoen-no-Gi" court banquets following the proclamation of Emperor Naruhito's accession to the throne at the Imperial Palace on October 22, 2019, Tuesday. The buffet-style banquet was attended by about 700 guests, including prefectural governors and members of the Diet, the country's parliament, and in addition, leading figures from various sectors. The ceremonies held in the day formalised Emperor Naruhito's ascension to Japan's Chrysanthemum Throne. The ceremonies began with a private ritual (sokui-no-rei), where the new emperor reported his proclamation to his ancestors. After the 30-minute ceremony, a congratulatory speech was given by Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.

The Countess of Wessex visited the capital of Kosovo, Pristina

On October 17, 2019, The Countess of Wessex visited Kosovo's capital, Pristina to find out more about work to support survivors of sexual violence after the conflict in 1998-1999. The Countess of Wessex visited Kosovo Rehab Centre for torture victims. The Countess met survivors and family members who have participated in a recent study looking at how trauma is passed between generations. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited an Army Canine Centre

On the last day of their visit to Pakistan, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited an Army Canine Centre in Islamabad where dogs are trained to detect explosive devices. British troops are currently giving training and advice to Pakistan's CIED programme, which in part breeds and trains bomb sniffer dogs. After Army Canine Centre visit, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge departed Islamabad during day five of their royal tour of Pakistan.

Dutch King and Queen visited Alleppey District of Kerala

On the last day of their state visit to India, King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima toured the backwaters of Alleppey (also known as Alappuzha) by boat. In 2018, the area, most of which lies a metre below sea level, was hit by major flooding which caused a great deal of human suffering. During the tour, the King and Queen received information about the measures being taken to prevent flooding in the future, and how Dutch expertise can help.
