Queen Rania visited Kufr Soum village in Bani Kinanah district

Queen Rania visited Irbid’s Bani Kinanah district where she met with representatives of the "Kufrsoum Agricultural Cooperative Association for Pomegranate Producers". The cooperative association works to build the capacities of its employees and volunteers, and to provide job opportunities to local women and youth through its income-generating projects. The association also offers training courses and hosts workshops, scientific days, and awareness sessions for the local community.

  1. Just lovely all around, color, design, embroidery. Smallest quibble is sometimes the sleeves seem too long, but then I noticed some of the other ladies have sleeves covering part or all of their hands - is that a cultural detail?

  2. Gorgeous. These traditional dresses are works art. The glowing colors in Rania's are wonderful on her, and her makeup is absolutely perfect -- just enough to subtly enhance her natural beauty.

    1. Christine you can buy caftans from Jordan , Morocco , Egypt or any Arab countries . I think you can also buy caftans online. There are many different types of caftans.

  7. In the 'old days' these dresses were embroided so you could see the bearer's wole life, if she was single, married, widowed and so on. The embroidery would be changed as life changed. Amazing work.
