On May 26, 2024, Queen Mathilde of Belgium participated in the 44th edition of the Brussels' 20km Run at Jubelpark in Brussels. The running race has a distance of 20.1 km and has been organized annually in Brussels since 1980. 45 000 people gathered for the race on the Esplanade of the Cinquantanire on Sunday May 26. The Brussels 20km race route involves most beautiful monuments and parks of the city.
Very courageous of Queen Mathilde to take part in the 20km of Brussels. I see she is in the company of two ladies. They were also at her side on the Pilgrim's route to Santiago di Compostella. One said the ladies were friends of her. Could be, but I am wondering if they are not 2 female body guards.
