Queen Silvia dress is very pretty and nice color. I don't like CP Victoria's dress. To start with it is too long. It is supposed to be midi length but she is a lot shorter than the models. Seems everyone is wearing this kind of dress with voluminous long sleeves, closed necklines and generally too loose and long. I don't care if this is the latest fashion, I don't like them.

I agree as well. Shops are full of long, long sleeved, round necked dresses. Don’t know who they really suit.

Queen Silvia dress has a weird draping on the bodice of her dress. We are used that she is always dressed elegant and lovely but this I cannot like. She also could change the color of her dresses and ensembles once and a while. I wonder how many shades of pink, fuchsia, magenta, etc... she has in her closet. Orange would be a good color for her and match beautifully her brown hair.
CP Victoria's dress is too long. The flower print is washed out and the sleeves are too long for a summer dress. Apparently they cannot stop wearing flower dresses in Sweden.

The sleeves are too long for a summer dress? So you think long sleeves shouldn't ever be worn in the summer? How odd. That is unreasonable and impractical, not to mention bizarre.

QS is pretty in pink! Her dress is beautiful and she looks quite chic. Love she chose spectator pumps to pair with her dress. Victoria's dress is pretty. I really like maxi dresses for many reasons and wear them myself. I will say that I think she should have followed her mother's lead and worn a day dress that was knee length. Maybe its the fact she chose dress shoes as opposed to something more casual that leaves me feeling the look is a bit off.

    1. Yes I think both Qn Silvia and Pr Victoria are both wearing a dress that suits them perfectly (at least I think so since there is no front picture of the queen). The dresses are totally different but fit nicely.

Both dresses are nice, the long length could be because she is not wearing hosiery, so her legs are covered. Perhaps cooler for the summer

  5. La reine Silvia porte une jolie robe de couleur fuchsia que je préfère à celle de la princesse Victoria trop longue et dans des couleurs trop fades !

The Queen looks great and knows what works on her…bright color, knee length, interesting accessories. I always love Victoria’s bright smile and welcoming energy, but oh boy, I just don’t understand all of the dull, tiny print floral dresses that cover her from head to toe. Paired with the perma-bun, she looks much older than her mother! I know it’s the fashion in Europe, but she looks so good in structured clothes and wish she would mix it up a bit more.

Silvia chose a great colour and the overall look is good. I don't think the draping on the dress does her (or anyone else) any favours. I wish the pleats were either around the waist or more towards the shoulders instead of this saggy chest situation. Love that she still seems to be wearing those little bracelets made by (presumably) her grandkids. Victoria just looks bland. The colours are boring and the cut is... surprisingly uninspired. For once, I wish the ruffles or some sort of interesting feature back.

Silvias dress makes her look like a big bossom lady - strange dress but beautiful color. Victoria would have been happier in outdoor outfit but that wouldn’t work of course. The King always has suits that are very well made and wish Daniel would look at them instead of those dark suits which are all extremely illfitting. Ac

  10. Queen Silvia looks divine in this gorgeous dress, love the color, the length is perfect. Her pearl necklace is beautiful and lovely addition. I am not a fan of CP Victoria's dress, too long and the floral pattern is too much.

  11. Yes, the full cut and full length maxi dress is certainly taking its place again in fashion.
One good thing for some of us is that it hides/covers all the lumps and bumps that we don’t want to be seen.
A bit like the job the Moo-Moo dress or caftan has done throughout fashion history.

Love the soft print of Victoria's dress, very summery and becoming to her.
