Queen Mathilde celebrated March 8, International Women's Day

Queen Mathilde of Belgium went to Bruges province of West Flanders state for International Women's Day celebrations of a group of women known in different sectors. Although International Women's Day is on March 8, the Queen planned that event for yesterday and an early celebration took place.
The Queen talked to the women at a lunch in West Flanders state. According to the statement of Belgian Palace, the Queen wanted to attach a special importance to that day and wanted to talk about the difficulties experienced by women in these sectors and their expectations. At noon Queen Mathilde was back at home in Laken to host a lunch meeting with another set of leading ladies from various industries. King Philippe joined them.
