Love the work but not todays look. The color isn’t flattering unless maybe she had pink leaning blush and lipstick. The dress makes her look 10 lbs heavier by accentuating her hips with the xtra fabric. How unfortunate that QM hasn’t thrown out the awful blush-bronzer that ages her and makes her look gaunt. MR

  2. I like the lighter make up she has here. But I think to judge on make up and colors in general you need to see the situation in reality. I like the dress, seen from the front, but if she had the back as on the model, I think it is not appropriate for a working visit. Yes perhaps too much material at the hip level.

    Strange dress in terrible colour.
I wonder if it has the same back as the models burgundy dress.

I think the wine red version would have suit her better, but she has already so many clothes in wine red. She cannot always wear the same color. I don't think there is extra fabric on the hips rather in the back. I'll have to check the Dutch websites to see if there is a picture of the back of this green dress. Rose

  5. For @Achard62 (ex Tulipe33) our jewelry expert.
0n another site they give details of Q Maxima’s jewelry.
They say that Maxima’s earrings are in ‘Péridotite and pearls’ from the house of Scully & Scully.
A famous and discreet bracelet “Le Cube Diamant” from jeweler Dinh Van plus a fine bracelet in gold and sapphires depicting the Greek evil eye (matiasma) from chez Marianna Lemos.
Maybe the ‘matiasma’ is from her holiday shopping in Greece.
To catch the curse of the ‘matisama’ the person will usually feel bad physically or mentally. Or in simple terms bad things will happen.

Bonjour, je viens d'ouvrir mon ordi et je vous remercie beaucoup pour les détails que vous portez à mon attention concernant les bijoux qui se combinent à merveille avec une nuance de la couleur vert avis de sa robe ; j'adore !

    1. Not all clothing needs to be adjusted, fluidity can be quite attractive. I think most women, incl myself, like above all to try different styles, of course then some fit better than others. But what I would hate for myself is to wear always the same style ... in different colors as Qn Camilla does. And I know quite some others who feel the same. But in this case I am worried about the back for a business occasion.
I agree that Maxima wears quite often burgundy color, and wants a change.

The strings are adjustable so she can draw the curtain on the back, I suppose. Sure she she did not come with nothing on her back. But what a terrible dress ... why oh why, why Natan *sigh* (GM) .

  8. A good choice for the occasion.
Makes her stand out in the crowd but nothing OTT.
    Discreet and interesting jewelry.
Love the olive colour. Goes well with her light suntan.
I’m sure Maxima has chosen a version with a full back and not a cut out back as seen on the model.
So good to see Maxima back, safe and well.

  9. I am not a fan of this dress or the color. Her makeup looks fabulous, barely there, nice and natural.

Admire her energy and hard work! An intelligent well educated woman and I like the color of her dress, to me it brightens up the seriousness of her report and work! C

She’s on for the PR. Others behind the scene do the actual work.

  11. For a Natan dress, it's not bad. I'm not mad on the colour and would certainly prefer the burgundy colour. Queen Maxima seems relatively subdued here. None of her megawatt smiles.

Maybe she was tiered and was trying to hide it. When they were returning from holidays they went from Greece to Italy to bring Princess Ariane to the UWC near Trieste, then from Italy to the Netherlands, on Sunday the races in Zandvoort with the family, on 29 she flew to New-York for the UNGSA.

Marvelous cause and work by QM but not a fan of the color of the dress. I like the style but the color isn't doing much for her. I think the other color--red, maroon, burgundy--would have been a better choice.

    Oh, hello, welcome back, Q.Maxima!!
She looks wonderful, the Natan dress being a minor quibble.
I have a midi ruched dress in this colour with a high slit and I like this trendy shade of green ( it can be defined with different names, a very interesting hue of green anyway imv).

      Oh, hello, Anonymous, cherie.
Do you realize what you wrote yesterday at 20:32?
'The abuse I got last week'...(first of all, I have been away for more than a week, busy with my job).
It means that I received some kind of (verbal) abuse...yes...I got it from you , of course..
Then, you are the one, the only one who pops on this blog to uniquely vent your rage and it shows not only when you address me but also in the whole way you conduct your comments on royals and towards your fellow- bloggers.
You seem to be always wearing your combat gear.
As you can see, you get the right replies from me and other fellow- bloggers ,which are a consequence of your comments.
Please, either you try to write correctly or you try at least to make out what people say in their comments.
Arguing seems to be your favourite behaviour, not others'.
Hope it is all clear to you.
      Bye, cherie.

I like the color of the dress and I think it suits her. It is a bright summery color. I also like the fluidity of the dress. It looks nice and cool.

Hm. I'm a bit torn on this look. The dress is perfectly fine and the lime green just screams Maxima. I also like the understated makeup. But the two don't go well together. Weirdly enough, this dress calls for more contrast. Personally, I prefer the wine red that the model wears and think it would also suit the queen quite well.
