Queen Margrethe attended the opening of M3 Cityringen metro line

On September 29, 2019, Queen Margrethe II of Denmark attended the opening of M3 Cityringen metro line in Copenhagen and Frederiksberg Municipality. The City of Copenhagen and Frederiksberg Municipality celebrated the opening of the 15.5 kilometer metro line with music and entertainment at Solbjerg Plads and City Hall Square respectively. The new line has been underway since the summer of 2011 and is a supplement to the two existing metro lines in Copenhagen. The new line will link 17 new underground stations with the existing ones.

Crown Princess Mary’s Bridge is a part of the new road connection, which links Tørslev Hage with Frederikssund. The road links the town of Frederikssund on one bank with the Hornsherred Peninsula on the other bank. On September 21, 2019, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel of Sweden arrived at Alingsås city in order to attend the events relating to the 400th anniversary of establishment of Alingsås city. Alingsås was granted city rights in 1619. Alingsås city has a rich cultural life, and hosts a few different cultural events throughout the year. In October, Lights in Alingsås is held for one month; 6 European lighting designers get to light up selected sections of the city as they please. Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia visited Villa San Michele

Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia visited Villa San Michele in Anacapri. During the museum visit, The Prince and Princess were accompanied by curator Kristina Kappelin. Swedish physician, Axel Munthe came to Capri in 1885. He built his villa on the ruins of an ancient chapel dedicated to San Michele, following a series of sketches made on a wall. Villa San Michele in Anacapri was the dream home of Axel Munthe. Today, Villa San Michele is a museum and a Swedish cultural institute.

On September 20, 2019, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia hosted the traditional Sweden Dinner (Sverigemiddag) at Stockholm Royal Palace. The aim of the Sweden Dinner is to honor people who have made significant local, regional or national contributions. About 200 guests were received and welcomed by the King, the Queen, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel at Queen Lovisa Ulrika's Dining Hall. Among the guests, there were representatives from culture, industry, education and sports organisations in Sweden's 21 counties, as well as county governors. Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of NKMV2019 conference

On September 20, 2019, Crown Princess Mary attended the opening of Nordic Women Against Violence 2019 (NKMV) conference held at Copenhagen Hotel Scandic. The conference takes place on September 20-22. The theme of this year's conference is "Children living with violence.". The Nordic Women Against Violence network was established in 1994. The feministic network consists of NGOs running shelters and offering other forms of support for women who are victims of domestic violence.
