South Africa visit of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, 1st day

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and their baby son Archie started their first tour as a family on Monday in South Africa. On the first day of their visit to South Africa, the Couple visited a township in Cape Town and viewed a workshop which teaches children about their rights and provides self-defense classes and female empowerment training to young girls. Afterwards, The Duke and Duchess toured the District Six Museum. The Duke and Duchess then met with the public. Afterwards, The Duke and Duchess visited the nearby Homecoming Centre and joined a community cooking activity. The Duchess wore a new maxi wrap dress by Mayamiko.

  1. They look radiant! I see Meghan is like a lot of women and is still dealing with her weight

    1. Totally agree with you Denise.

    2. Maybe she isn't "dealing" at all. I find Meghan incredibly affectatious and unlikeable but she had a baby a few months ago. It's normal to look different afterwards. Maybe she doesn't care to please commenters around the world making snide observations. /aa/

    3. She is a healthy weight.

    4. 4 Anonymous-comments, not a name or nickname, how pathetic.

    5. My nickname is AA. What is pathetic is the overriding attitude on this blog towards women and the narrow little box in which the majority of commenters express their views on how women should look, what they should weigh and how they ought to dress. Helen should close down the comments section. /AA/

    6. AA, stop spreading misery, we are a happy group here... why would the royals care about your sour opinion, .. if they close the comment section how would you delight us with your opinion? Talking about un-likable????
      😜😜😜😜😜

    7. I really don't like how so many of the comments are so high handed and really quite bitchy. It doesn't look at all happy to me. I feel bad reading so many of these posts /aa/

    8. aa: then don't comment, dear. Fashion is about looks, different tastes, hair, make-up, sometimes weight. Nothing wrong with that.

  2. I like the dress and shoes. Especially the design of the dress, very nice when visiting Africa! The neckline is too deep for my taste, particularly when she bows herself down or leans forward.
But I love the attitude of them both!

Schade.
Sie sieht aus, wie eine x-beliebige Touristin.

    1. Exactly my thoughs! I was afraid to be the only one thinking that the dress does nothing for her at all. It makes her look bigger than she actually is IMO. No royal look. Rather what you wear when going to the beach.

  7. Oh, I like the dress and shoes very much. The dress is made for comfort, flatters her body, and the print is terrific. Meghan and Harry look very happy and at home here.

  8. Great start for Meghan. The dress suits her well and is wonderful for the occasion. Spot on choice for shoes as well.

  11. I like Meghans dress, I believe it is from a S African designer, but do not like the wedges.

  12. What a suitable dress. I like African patterns and fabrics very much.

  13. Very nice dress, perfect for the occasion and flattering for Meghan's shape. Not keen on the wedges which look clumpy and ungainly--clearly something comfortable to walk in was needed but a flat sandal, even the shoes she travelled in, would have been a smarter look. Great to see this pair out and about wowing the crowds and looking so happy

  14. Nice summery dress, obviously chosen for comfort. The shoes are the best feature, love those wedges, but then again I have them myself, and a couple more from Castañer, love their workmanship

  15. Looking a little further, seems like the dress wasn't only chosen for confort, it's from a designer from Malawi, with clear African inspiration, and made with sustainable materials. Looks like lt was a well thought out choice to honor the continent...
    Well done.

  17. Very, very nice outfit on D. Meghan. Flattering and appropriate for the occasion. She looks wonderful! (V.M.)

  18. The trip has started off very well. The simple wrap dress with African inspired print is a good way to transition to the warmer (than London) weather of South Africa and a nod to their hosts. A chapeau to Henry!! He looks on proudly as Meghan makes speeches at some of their engagements. Smart man. Modern women do not want to be seen and not heard. Their hands on approach charms the crowds. -MB

  19. The Duchess looks lovely on her first day. The dress is very appropriate for the event. I am not a fan of wedges, but these work well for the Duchess and looks great with the dress. Fantastic she is supporting a designer from Malawi. I really like the subtle jewellery pieces. The necklace and earrings are simple but very pretty. I dislike bare necklines and this is dainty but just right.

  20. Love it! DoS looks fantastic. So does Harry. I love that she's letting the world see that's it's perfectly normal for women to take time in losing "baby weight". So many celebrities and other royals get too thin so fast after a baby. Her body is beautiful. The dress is beautiful. The people are beautiful. I love they brought Archie. - Capt. Marvel

  21. Very pretty frock. No a fan of the shoes, a little to "heavy" looking on Meghan's petite frame.
