Today, The Duchess of Sussex made her first visit to The ACU as Patron. The ACU (The Association of Commonwealth Universities) is the world's first and oldest international university network and it has more than 500 member institutions in over 50 countries. On January 31, 2019, Dutch Queen Maxima attended the opening of the exhibition "Basquiat – The artist and his New York scene" at the Schunck museum in Heerlen. The exhibition tells the story of the work and life of the young Basquiat from his period in New York between 1978 and 1982. Jean-Michel Basquiat is an American graffiti artist and an expressionistic painter. Basquiat became famous in New York firstly as a graffiti artist, then he started to make expressionistic paintings in 1980s. At Frome Medical Centre, the Duchess met with community groups and volunteers who are working to end isolation and loneliness in the town. The Somerset gallery has an extensive learning programme for local schools, young people and families. Crown Princess Victoria visited The Norrbotten Regiment

On January 23, 2019, Crown Princess Victoria visited The Norrbotten Regiment in Arvidsjaur. The Norrbotten Regiment (Norrbottens regemente), whose designation is I 19, is an arctic armoured, light infantry and commando regiment of the Swedish Army and its origins date back to the 19th century. The duty of that regiment is to struggle with difficult terrain conditions and climatic conditions and to ensure surveillance under these conditions. The regiment is specifically trained to perform duty also behind enemy perimeter. The regiment is located in Arvidsjaur.

Gala - 43rd Monte Carlo International Circus Festival in Monaco

On January 23, 2019, King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain attended opening of 39th International Tourism Fair (FITUR) held at Juan Carlos I Park in Madrid. FITUR is a global meeting point for tourism professionals and Ibero American markets. This year's guest of honour of the fair is Dominican Republic with the slogan "Lo tiene todo" (It has everything). (The Queen wore a new check wool skirt by Massimo Dutti).

King Philippe and Queen Mathilde are currently in Davos to attend the annual meeting of World Economic Forum, held on January 22-24. The theme of this year's meeting is Globalization 4.0: Shaping a Global Architecture in the Age of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. The King and The Queen of Belgium will attend a series of working meetings. The King and The Queen of Belgium attended the opening ceremony of WEF meeting on January 22 and then met with representatives of Schwab Foundation. In addition, The Queen attended a meeting with First Lady Silvana Abdo of Paraguay.

Swedish Royal Family visited the Bernadotte Library

On January 21, 2019, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle visited the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The Bernadotte Library includes the book collections of the Bernadotte family, totalling approximately 100,000 books. It also includes the Bernadotte photograph collection of around 500,000 photographs. The Bernadotte Library was created by King Gustaf VI in 1952 but it has its roots in the Royal Library (present National Library of Sweden) from 1796. The Bernadotte Library is located in the Royal Castle Northeast wing and shares the same entrance with the Gustav III's Museum of Antiquities.

The Duchess of Cambridge visited Family Action’s Lewisham base

On January 22, 2019, The Duchess of Cambridge visited Family Action’s Lewisham base which provides a range of valuable community support for children and families in South London. The purpose of the visit was to launch a new national support line. Family Action will celebrate the 150th anniversary of its establishment in 2019. The organization works directly with vulnerable children and families through nearly 150 local and national services, as well as supporting professionals and organisations through training and consultancy. Their new service ‘FamilyLine’ uses a network of volunteers from across the country for the purpose of supporting parents and carers virtually through telephone calls, email and text messaging.
