Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel attended a memorial ceremony during the International Holocaust Remembrance Day at the Stockholm synagogue. On Sunday 27 January, The Crown Princess Couple attended a memorial ceremony for the victims of the Holocaust at the Great Synagogue of Stockholm.

The ceremony was arranged to commemorate the liberation of Auschwitz Concentration Camp on 27 January 1945. Since 1999, this has been Sweden's official Holocaust Memorial Day. In 2005, the UN also declared the day an international memorial day.
