On August 22, 2025, Queen Mary attended the opening of the exhibition Bharti Kher – Mythologies at the Thorvaldsens Museum in Copenhagen. The exhibition features Indian deities and human bodies in many forms and life situations, presented through the contemporary sculptures of Bharti Kher. The Queen was given a tour of the exhibition by museum director Annette Johansen, artist Bharti Kher, and curator Siri Buric.

The exhibition showcases 27 works addressing historical ideas of body, identity, and culture. These works are displayed alongside the museum’s permanent collection, creating connections between Bharti Kher’s contemporary art and Bertel Thorvaldsen’s classical sculptures. The exhibition will remain open until March 2026.

Oh my, lately Mary's fashion choices leave a lot to desire. What an awful suit.

Ugh oh…the Mary fanatics will accuse you of being jealous or not understanding fashion because you have your own valid opinion and don’t mindlessly adore everything she wears. 😉 (Agree about the suit…not one of her best outfits.)

Not to my liking as a suit, it fits her well. Perhaps the jacket on its own would be nice

      Dear@ Deadeggs,
you already know how much I appreciate your kind and humorous comments.
Now, please I wonder why you used the definition " edgy".and if you could clarify this term for me?
You know, I'd call edgy something more on the risque' side though It is likely to have different meanings in other contexts..
      Cheers👋👍

I agree too with 20:34. I think people react negatively because it’s uncommon. But to study the design, it’s a beautifully cut suit; and the print is really a lovely botanical print. I’d wear this.

      I love it.
      Bravo Queen Mary.

I feel the printed jacket and trouser too much. Maybe worn individually, with a muted colored top. The two together is too busy.

    2. Agree. I liked the look of the jacket in the first pic, then when I saw the whole suit, the reaction was ‘oh, no!’ The jacket with plain black, grey or white trousers would look fine. Perhaps the trousers would be okay with a plain top or jacket but I’m not certain I’d ever like them.

      Hi Lowri.
I agee wiih you, this outfit is way too busy.
Plain colored pants would have been easier on my eyes.
I hope Mary doesn't have a new stylist.

20:48… I suspect she wears it because she likes it, very similar to the way you choose your clothes because you like them. ( and she’s unlikely to say in public you look ridiculous ;-))

    3. Is it not enough if Mary likes it? This suit is from the past season and we have seen many dresses with the same/almost same motifs from different fashion brands; restrained monochromatic patterns on a light backround.
I understand that this whole suit is too much for some but imo the outfit is just right for this art exhibition. It also looks much better than maxi dresses with similar motifs (which we have seen her). The suit is also well balanced with the flared trousers and it fits perfectly.

Way too much print. The bottom, or the top with a solid color, otherwise, a definite no from my point of view, a lot like her other choices lately.

  7. what an awful suit. I wish Mary remembers that she is a queen and acts as an influencer that jumps on fast fashion trends such as this suit and the fishermen trousers.

Anominem, I’m sure she remembers she’s the queen and does that job beyond reproach. There is nothing in the job description of a queen that demands she wear what you prefer. She is beautifully groomed and wearing a suit that fits her very well, that she chose to wear. That’s ok. Well within the queen job description.

I like the blazer paired with a black slacks or skirt/dress would have been very nice for me. Both parts with this pattern is a bit much, at least for me.

I disagree ( with all who say wear only top or bottom) - the whole point of this is to be dramatic, so for me it is all in or all out. I love it, but it is definitely not her usual - which for me is a positive. The blue/green/grey/black suits worn by queens and princesses get a bit dull and boring - in my opinion. LRB

      You are again repeating yourself.
It seems you have formulas or replicas you attach everywhere on this blog.
While I like the print of this suit, I for one am on the fence as to the overall presentation.
So, don't worry, there are no Q Mary worshippers here, just people capable of saying 'sic et simpliciter' that one of her outfits is not to her best advantage.
I think this is the case.
      As you yourself said,
      " they
(extended to all the royals) are humans, not Gods and humans may put a foot wrong every now and then.
No drama and no stylist change needed , then.

Whole suit pattern is also not my favourite, a bit too playful - but the fit is really perfect. To call it pajamas or ridiculous ... it is a pity that some commenters cannot find and use more civilised expressions.

I think this is one those suits in which you should wear the pieces separately. Both together seems a bit too much in my opinion.

-Dorothe-

  17. The printed jacket is fine, but not with the same print of the pants, its too much. The fit and style of the ensemble I like just not the pattern of the fabric.

This is a beautifully cut and beautifully fitted suit, with a lot of pattern. I think it would be better tolerated by the outraged commenters above if: 1. There were a visible black or white simple tshirt showing at top (I think she has a black singlet on but it doesn’t peek out); 2. The cuffs were hemmed better to not drag and reveal more show. She looks stunning, but we are not used to fully patterned suits except on pyjamas. Of purse to wear either half with plain black or white jacket or trousers would be more conservative and very lovely, but she has dared to wear the whole thing and why not?!

    Jacket is O.K.
    The trousers a big NO.

O wow what a really beautifull exquisite stylish suit!
Look at the cut of the jacket: so smoothly done!
She is quite right not to combine it with a top: the suit itself is sufficient.
    Is she wearing sandals?
Cannot see them well, but the flat open informal shoes is a good combination.
