Princess Marie Visits the Danish Emergency Management Agency
On the morning of Tuesday, August 19, 2025, Princess Marie of Denmark visited the Danish Emergency Management Agency (DEMA) in Birkerød, Copenhagen. There, she first attended the change-of-command ceremony for the agency’s new Director, and afterwards received an operational briefing on the agency’s work. Outgoing Director Christine Engel Christensen was succeeded by the new Director, Kenneth Pedersen.
Ravie de voir Marie sur le terrain vêtue d’une petite robe à pois très estivale ; j’ai hâte qu’elle soit définitivement de retour sur le sol danois avec sa petite famille !
ReplyDeleteI am liking that dresses have collars. It frames the face nicely. Pretty dress but for me I would wear a half slip as some of these light fabrics become see thru in the light.
ReplyDeleteIt’s not too bad in this picture but many times I wonder why these Well, dressed and photographed women do not wear a slip.
DeleteI think slips are a thing of the past and this is why. I heard about them in childhood but not since and think they were a thing for the older generations.
DeleteAnon22:23. Slips are still sold. They are not just for the older generation. Slips are like a lining for a garment, they help fabric fall nicely and not cling.
DeleteMadonna, anonimo 16:21 e 18:33 ... sottoveste?

DeleteI had slips once. Today I don't need them anymore and I don't see them anymore at the better shops for lingerie. Ladies do not wear them any longer. If needed I'd prefer to buy a piece of lining and put this in the dress. It stays better in place than a slip because it is attached (sewed) at the skirt.
The brand Mango (one of Queen Letizia's cheap street style brands) does not sell dresses with a lining. They do have nice jackets/blazers with a lining of course. But the(woolen?) fabric of the jackets is too stiff and I wonder what it will look like after one season.
Princess Marie's dress is a rewear in which I have seen her during the summers of 2024 and maybe 2023. She looks good in that dress and polkadots are coming back into fashion almost every year.
Very lovely dress on a very lovely lady!
ReplyDeleteLes pois sont à la mode et c'est une bonne chose.
ReplyDeleteSimple and pretty and how nice to discover the full length photo showing no asymmetric hem :-)
ReplyDeleteHers style is too simple, not exciting!
ReplyDeleteMust a lady’s style be exciting?!? Maybe she too would find your style boring? So maybe …. fashion preferences differ?!
DeleteIs it BORING or CLASSIC? She is a very pretty lady and does not need to be dressed fru fru to be attractive!
DeleteIt is a nicely designed dress, no need for more fantasy.
DeleteThere are indeed "vocabulary dangers" (also called false friends) across languages. The English slip means lining actually (French doublure) (Nach meinem Wissen Futter auf Deutsch). While in some other languages slip means underpants. (French among them).
DeleteAbout "sleeves", I think they were nicely designed, intended to be rather wide.
Very well stated, @ Mary T.👍
DeleteKnowledge is everything.
She looks lovely. Nice summer dress. Are they back in Denmark?

Always lovely!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite royals - Princess Marie exudes style and class, even in this simple summer skirt and blouse. I am not too fond of the overly large sleeves. Mango could have done a better job in shaping the sleeves smaller. Otherwise, I like the look.
ReplyDeleteThis dress is simple and subtle, love the skirt, pleating and nice movement. A lovely summer dress.
ReplyDeleteYes well said a lovley summer dress
DeleteKudos to Princess Marie wearing a dress that most purses can afford. A perfect Summer business dress.
ReplyDeleteSo lovely to see Princess Marie out and about attending official events.
Lowri.
Does anyone else see what I see here… very pretty material and style in profile but from the front just too much material for the wearer? I think I’d prefer this dress slightly more tailored.
ReplyDeleteSometimes a fuller skirt is cooler to wear in the summer. I also see a bit of retro ‘50’s60’s vibe, feminine
DeleteDanke für die Klarstellung von Slip und Unterkleid oder ja in deutsch Futterstoff : ) -Dorothe-
ReplyDeleteThis is a gorgeous dress in its simplicity.
ReplyDeleteIt channels another current retro trend, the 50s.
My only, very minor quibble , which Is just my preference, is the belt.
I would have preferred a more eye- catching one.
A black one defining her waist would have been perfection and would have paired beautifully with her black pumps.
Maybe she just wants to keep a relatively low profile so she opted for a less dramatic belt.
Regardless, Princess Marie looks gorgeous and engaging as usual.
Well done to her.
