The Princess of Wales shared a new family photo on Mother's Day

On March 10, the Princess of Wales shared a new family photo on the occasion of Mother's Day, with a message in which she thanks the public for their continued support in the wake of her planned abdominal surgery.

In the photo, which was taken by the Prince of Wales earlier this week, the Princess of Wales is pictured beaming in a chair, surrounded by her three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

In her message, the Princess of Wales wrote: "Thank you for your kind wishes and continued support over the last two months. Wishing everyone a Happy Mother's Day. C".

      Anonymous 12/3/24 00:11,

It is none of our business, that is her private health matters. We know what they told us, she would be recovering until after Easter - given the length of recovery most of us knew it has to be something serious. But we don’t pry, because she us on sick leave - we have no right to demand to know the intimate details of what surgery she had nor a day-by-day account of how her recovery is going.

I hope you all had a lovely Mother’s Day on Sunday.

No, Anon, 18:11, what Catherine did goes beyond editing. The news agencies who pulled this photo out of their sites term it manipulation. It was also calculating and deceptive. A Daily Mail piece noted that Kensington Palace seems to think
We are stupid. And I don’t usually fall in line with the Daily Mail—but that’s correct. Your comment was suspect as soon as you nastily dragged in Meghan, who has nothing to do with this situation. There are actually three different photos involved by Catherine, clumsily pieced together. And the background is also false as it is the wrong season. https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2024/03/11/princess-of-wales-news-agencies-retract-manipulated-kate-image.html

Remember Daily Mail was also the one who changed this photo just to make a negative story about Meghan and Harry, so no attacking them over a tree is pretty pathetic. If who ever made the mother day photo only had put a tree in it no one would have cared. Harry and Meghan hasn't mentioned the photo with a word still Daily Mail just has to drag them into this. Why? Deflection. Get people angry at Harry and Meghan, and feel sorry for Kate and William so the storm against them goes away. This is from the royal rota handbook. Daily Mail probably got an angry phonecall from the palace after they didn't followed the handbook, but criticized the Waleses.

Lovely family picture! I don't understand the communication of the palace. Catherine has every right to keep health issues private, but WHY release a press photo with obvious photoshop faults, like on Charlotte's sleeve? They KNOW it will be analyzed on every detail. Big mistake in the communications department.

That being said: she has a right to keep things private. She has a public role but she's not common property. People should stop making theories and carry on with their own life. Damsel Dragonfly

The way Kate's hands are placed around the children looks unnatural like they are too stiff. Now some people are saying the trees are too leafy for this time of year. I'm not gonna say whats right. Not interested in a he say she say debate. I'm only gonna show what an expert said. A director of editing in an Norwegian newspaper said that a trained eye can see that this is 2 photos put together. He saw 3 big mistakes. One is charlotte as we already heard about. He see her arm is cloned or copied in.
Second the tiles next to Louis shoes the line is broken and the tiles doesn't
    match.
And third this one. And this is a major one. Kates jacket. This is a straight line he says, but the zipper doesn't match. Also there are changes on the pixel. Look at the image.
He also say there have been speculation about Louises hands strange angle. This is a known problem with A1 generated photos, but he can't determine that the image is AI generated.

Pár slov k úprave tejto fotografie". Nothing terrible happened! Small adjustments to small details that ordinary readers will not even notice are not a crime! In my opinion, Kate had nothing to apologize for. Why people are making a drama out of nothing? Adjusted sleeve hem and similar petty little things? If people only made such "mistakes", the world would be wonderful. After all, Waleses don't use photos of completely different people or events - as one of their relatives did, who stole footage from a famous movie premiere and used it in a documentary to portray himself as a victim of medias.
Where is the old English "Keep smiling and be calm" ? A picture of a family wishing a happy holiday to people - Mother's Day - is used by trolls for complete conspiracies.

It's a sympathetic family photo, and I guess that afterwards she wanted her hand around Louis, too, and that's the reason for adding her right hand to the photo as well. Don't know the motivation behind the other manipulations. (Manipulation means adding or removing an element in a photo, whereas editing and developing are normal and accepted ways of postprocessing documentary photos.) I confess I first doubted if the photo indeed was taken recently or if it was an older one. The leaves of the bush behind them look more autumnal to my eyes, but as I don't live in the UK, I don't know how their garden's should normally look in early March. Anyway, wishing her well. Her SIL has already been beaten hideously by the press and the pottymouths of social media, and I hope they don't now attack Kate as well...

No, there is not that much editing that it is fake. This is what Catherine looks like. This is what George looks like. This is what Charlotte looks like. This is what Louis looks like. They do not look like aliens or monsters. Get a grip peope! If a person feels manipulated by some editing to clothes or background then they have more serious problems than a photograph!

  32. I think it was unfortunate to publish this photo. First: why did they feel the pressure to publish anything at all? It was said that Princess Catherine is on sick leave until after easter. Why bow to the pressure that only comes from anti-monarchists, from the media who want to make money of Catherine and from crazy dumb internet trolls? Just ignore all of them. And second: if they wanted to put something out, why does it always have to be the 'perfect picture'? Why not a normal picture, like for instance a picture from their home, Catherine writing easter cards with the kids or something like that? This would be far more relatable than these staged, altered photos.

I agree. On one hand plenty of mysteries on the other hand sending a manipulated picture into the world to obtain what, more mystery ? They should better think twice before acting like this, making themselves a bit unbelievable. She was on sick leave until after Easter. Normal people do not expect her to be seen earlier. Or was she or were her advisers afraid that she could be forgotten ?

    2. Anonymous12/3/24 17:46

Beth and Anon 16.51, a lot of opinions.. yet I’m sure that there is no filter in any pictures on neither of your social media accounts. Just as natural as everyone elses.

      Delete
    3. @Anonymous 12/3/24 17:46 Yes, is do use filters. My mobile phone suggests optimizing lightning and focus. If I have the time I also play around with photoshop to improve pictures. But then again I am not in the public eye and can do whatever I want. Catherine's photoshopping was so bad, some experts even suggest the whole picture was fabricated. This was a bad move at this time and the PR of Kensignton Palace should have foreseen this.

      Delete
    4. I also read that the picture was entirely fabricated. It was also said that William took the picture, who is lying. Surprising from Kate, she has been so perfect so far.

    Replies
    1. @ Frieda, that is exactly what I thought. Catherine is in the "mental health- team". She should have sticked to the announced timeline, sick leave until after easter. Or, if she felt it was time to put something out, it would have been a better choice to put something more authentic out, like a personal Thankyou note to all well wishers. No need at this time to put out a picture-perfect family picture. I am afraid the Waleses are not best adviced when it comes to representation in this harsh social media time of age.

If Kate is battling mental health, wouldn't it have been an idea for her to be open about it? And nothing of what we have seen happening the last few months in media and social media would have happened. Anne

      Delete
  36. As I see the problem, yes many photos are photoshoped, but done by professionals ( and possibly in agreement between royals and publishers). Here it is a moment of high sensitiveness (everyone is wondering about the health of the Princess). A home modified photo was sent to professionals, publishers /news agencies and they feel cheated, particularly if the picture is not up to their standards. The question about when it was taken is puzzling and can lead to many conclusions. I think it should have stayed as it was taken. They could have taken several and just choose the best one. A lesson to learn from.

Ho everyone, sorry but your posts don't look any better than the Princess's shot.
Your comments stem from a fabricated collage of papers' articles.
No thoughts of your own, no personal insight, no soul, just a lifeless paste and copy from the media mare magnum.

I think that whatever the pic editing , it was meant to be just a message to celebrate Mother's Day from a mother of three, no less, no more.
The pic is hers, she can do whatever she wants with it.
It was a kind gesture to mark that particular day..

This is just funny. First, you call other people opinions fools who can't come up with an original thought themselves, but has to share the medias. When did it become wrong to share what professional photographs tell us. Isn't fact everything? You call us trolls who probably are one person. Like there aren't
enough people in this world who could have similar thoughts. No we have to be one person. Then you have the audacity to ask us to respect your opinion. Really? After you didn't respect our opinion. Second, had this photo just been photoshopped, no one would have cared. As you say most of the world do this, but this photo is created of several photos. So everything about it is fake. You have to be blind not to see that. And defending a completely fake photo, it's pretty rich even for you considering everything you have written yourself on this blog. We can just guess what the comments had been had this been a Sussex photo after all we still see bullshit comments like Meghan isn't her kids mother. If you are just one blogger and not a person repeating herself ,speak Just for yourself, no?
Anyway, you can have my credentials from Helen because I have nothing to hide.
I allow you to draw your conclusions.
Of course , I use one nickname, P.the original, but just one as I do not need any other account to write on this blog.
Creating a hundred accounts repeating themselves and mirroring themselves relentlessly as well as using the same tone, points and tiresome " opinions" all the way round like you look to do, clearly gives proof of someone ( a troll) trying hard to self- support herself concocting fake identities.
      And what for?
Just to stir the pot over and over again?
I find it to be a senseless way of investing one's time.
If you consider that I cannot spend all of my time on this blog like you do and that I work in the world outside, I occasionally have a very restricted amount of time to comment on this blog so my own nickname " P.the original" is more than enough to express and sign my own personal views.
Therefore, either you try to substantiate what you are saying about me or just unwind and try to focus on your own countless accounts and give valid explanations of your repeated and boring comments scattered all over this blog.
What' s the purpose of your endless replicas?

I cannot believe the disgraceful behaviour that Media Outlets, Social Media + the Public have shown ever since the news was released that Princess Catherine was in Hospital. She graciously put out enough details to explain that she would be absent from the public until some time after the Easter Holidays, pending a Review by her Medical Team. She asked to have her decision to keep her Medical Details/History as Private, which is her Right-from a Legal perspective + from a Human Rights one too. Unfortunately, the vultures of the Media+Social Media Forums, failed miserably to be respectful. TV/YouTube had random Medical Workers on to speculate as to a possible diagnosis of Catherine's "Major Abdominal Surgery" with them alleging that "no Abdominal Surgery" would cause a Patient to be admitted for 10-14 days. How incorrect these so-called Experts are. I've had several Major Abdo. Surgeries in the last 7 years. The shortest stay was 15 days, the longest ended up as 11 months, but on average, the other ones were all around 25-35 days.. I think the Press was annoyed that William+Catherine were controlling the Narrative. The Press felt slighted that- they'd missed her admission to Hospital, that William managed to avoid photographers when visiting (except on 1 occassion) that they enforced there'd be no updates unless a significant matter arose. The lack of control that the Press had ignited Conspiracy Theories which morphed into horrendous bullying as the Public+Press demanded proof of life. Utterly disgraceful behaviour from adults around the world. Catherine is still recovery from Surgery + whatever Illness/Condition that precipitated the need for Surgery. No doubt, she was feeling vulnerable, pressured, from being tormented by Press etc, since early January. I feel this led to the photo for Mother's Day. As for editing, Photoshopping, the fuss over it is beyond insane. Everyone, professional, amateurs, home folk, businesses, do this in multiple ways - edit, cut+paste, alter lighting, blur a background, remove errors, erase a random photobomber, wrinkles, change a colour pic to blue image, etc. Models, Wedding Photographers, TV Shoes edit by bleeping out curse words. To claim that Catherine's broken Trust is laughable. The worse part of it all, is this is reminiscent hounding that led to Princess Diana making unsound decisions that caused her death. Surely the Press, Media + Public don't want to see Louis, Charlotte + George grieving their mother + William grieving his wife . If I was William + Catherine, I'd not release any pics of the children on their Birthdays + refrain from having them attend Royal Events. Let's see if the Press+Public enjoy their loss of not seeing three wonderfully happy loved children. I imagine Catherine's recovery will take longer due to the emotional stress this has caused. Any person who has posted the slightest negative remark over the past 3 months, should be ashamed of their childish vindictive behaviour. Wishing Princess Catherine some peace, tranquility, compassion, as she recuperates. Thankfully William is attentive, loving + loyal to her, he'll keep taking her Breakfast in Bed no doubt., in between school runs, work, checking in with his Pa. Get Well Princess Catherine. Hold your head up high when you return. Do not carry any guilt or shame, those two emotions belong in the Press, Media, Social Media, Individual Commenting people. People need to remember + embrace the wonderful positivity that Catherine has brought to the Royal Family. She has always conducted herself with mindfulness in striving to Serve. How can a small error at a time of vulnerability, undo all of the good work, the joy, the inclusivity, the empathy + compassion that she has selflessly given to us all, be annihilated over a photo. She didn't commit a crime. Not only is it a matter of God Save the King, it's also a matter of God Save Princess Catherine, the Princess of Wales, our Future Queen. Thanks

I think this is a very lovely pic of Kate and the kids. I really like it.
Ok, there is photo shop in it, not sooo nice but also no drama.

I think it was used for optimizing the pic but not for faking something completly non-existing.

I don't know if you ever tried to take a picture with several persons? No matter how often you try.. there's almost always somebody looking strange, having closed eyes, not smiling, talking, because he/she thought it didn't start, ....
When I take pictures of my parents for example, I usually make around 20 pictures to find only one where both look nice and like themselves at the same time...

So a bit of understanding from my side and I disbelieve that they wanted to fake something, that is'nt real.

We'll since I only wrote 10:25 comment can YOU please tell me who is YOU? And why do YOU think YOU can demand anything from US. Shouldn't YOU care more about YOUR own demeaning behaviour?

So now we know she has cancer. All these horrible, hateful comments about one little picture. Such ugly, nasty people!

Yes, @Anonymous 19:01, I do agree with you this time.
You see, both your and my words are absolutely useless now.
All of us should solely focus on prayers, support and positive thoughts for Catherine, her children and all the members of the BRF and try to learn a lesson from it all.
I mean the braveness and strength of this still young Princess- Catherine- in facing such hard times is what really matters.
Chattering, speculating , building up false theories sold as "truths" out of nothing concrete are all a total waste of time leading nowhere.
Our debates have led nowhere, actually.
I'd better get going now .
    Bye.

I am a photographer, I work with Photoshop and other programmes all the time. Unfortunately, the picture is edited. Even fake. I guess, our beloved Princess was too ill for a good picture :( Get well soon Catherine!
