On October 26, King Philippe and Queen Mathilde received the Belgian athletes who have made success in 2023 at the Royal Palace in Brussels. The guests included the athletes who won a medal at a European or World Championship, in an Olympic or Paralympic discipline, and the medal holders of the European Games held in Krakow, Poland.
One of Queen Matilda’s best looks, imo! Solid colors flatter her frame and give her a more polished, sleek finish. This shade of pink is beautiful. I love the detail around the neckline and the gold accents with the slim belt, her clutch, and jewelry. Magnifique!!
ReplyDeleteThe Queen looks lovely and stands out just enough , in the last photo, in a polished and chic style. Dress fits so well, is the perfect length , hangs loosely enough so there are no noticeable wrinkles. Please someone tell her stylist more ensembles like this one!! No Natan - yeah!

ReplyDeleteMy only critic is the neckline. From the photo on my screen it looks like the dart in the collar (if that’s what it is) was put in at the last minute to help with the fit.
King Philippe is retaining his good looks and is still capable of breaking a heart or two
There was a time that Queen Mathilde received bad comments for wearing thin belts. I love her dress and I love the fact that she, despite the rain and bad weather of the last days, did not wear a dark dress but one of her older pink dresses. She didn't had to go outside in this dress because the reception took place inside the Royal Palace in Brussels. It looks like she had a haircut or her hair was turned a bit inside, can't see it very well. Rose

ReplyDeleteQueen Mathilde's dress is from the year 2016 and was shorter then, just above the knee. Now the hemline is just under the knee.
ReplyDeleteNot a fan of this particular shade of pink myself, but it suits Mathilde well. And looking at the group picture, it was definitely the right choice - great pop of colour in the sea of navy and black suits!
