The new parliamentary working year – the 2023/24 Riksdag (Swedish Parliament) session – started on Tuesday 12 September. On the evening of September 12, King Carl Gustaf, Queen Silvia, Crown Princess Victoria, Prince Daniel, Prince Carl Philip and Princess Sofia attended a concert at the Stockholm Concert Hall. The concert was held on the occasion of the opening of the working year 2023/24 of the Riksdag.

The whole family looks wonderful, but top marks to Victoria in that fabulous D&G dress! She wears so many florals, but this one may be her best with the modern pattern and cut that accentuates her face and figure!
ReplyDeleteI agree. Beautiful print and colour, excellent cut. I just don´t understand the line of black-and-shite circles running down her skirt and the one on the shoulder. I wish those didn´t exist. They look like stick-on wiggly eyes from a kid´s craft kit.

DeleteIt is hard to see Queen Sylvia up close but from what I can see she is dressed so elegant with her shawl, Princess Sofia in white looks very pretty with her hair down, Crown Princess looks nice but nothing to write home about!

Sofia in her vanilla jumpsuit by Lilly Jahilo looks lovely. Not fond of wide-leg pants but otherwise very flattering look. Lovely earrings.
Silvia in pale pink outfit stands out. Hard to believe that she will enter new decade very soon. She looks 60 max.

Queen Silvia is so elegant in her lilac dress and golden kitten heels. CP Victoria's dress is not what you would expect from Dolce & Gabbana. The style and the cut is good but not the pattern. It is so old fashion those red roses on a black ground. What are those white eyes that are staring at us ?

Sofia looks beautiful and elegant, she and Carl look great. Victoria's dress is nice and makes her look youthful and fresh (but what are those google eyes in the dress for?) The queen looks great too, very classy.

ReplyDeleteAll three ladies have beautiful outfits. I find Victoria's especially lovely, floral but definitely without that "little prairie house" vibe around it, she has a beautiful silhouette in it. Silvia is her elegant self in a beautiful colour. The only thing I don't like is Sofia's hairstyle. It's not only the tendrils, but the fact that letting one's hair flow freely is not necessarily enough for a hairstyle if it is an occasion like this and not a walk in nature. Somehow they don't seem to be trimmed and styled accurately for flowing free. It makes Victoria's choice not to wear her hair open even more understandable, as a very busy Crown Princess she will have neither time nor patience for daily hairstyling sessions. But Sofia's outfit is nice. (GM)
