The whole family looks great, but I especially like Lady Louise's dress. Such a fun print, she looks wonderful. Nice to see the family enjoying themselves.

How refreshing it is to see a pretty girl without a pound of makeup, tattoos, artificially extended hair, ironed natural curls and the like.
Some newspapers mocked Louise for wearing her mother's outfits. I think it's a positive thing - everyone is calling for thriftiness, sustainability for the sake of ecology. On the other side, this dress suits her very well.

Not sure we see a lot of tattoos on the female royals on this site 😂
I agree that Lady Louise seems like a sensible and well adjusted young lady.

    2. Anon 22.18 I agree with you, well said regarding Louise and sustainability.. Its wonderful Louise can borrow from her mothers wardrobe, why not? It shows sensibility and practicality in this day and age, good for her.

I agree with you 100%! Lady Louise is not the only young royal who "shops" her mother's closet. Princess Isabella has worn several outfits/pieces from CP Mary's closet, Princess Elisabeth has borrowed from Queen Mathilde, and I feel sure I have seen Princess Amalia borrow from Queen Maxima. I think its great that these mothers and daughters share--my mother was quite generous with me.

I really want the Countess' outfit in my closet!!! Lady Louise looks young, fresh, and so natural--in a beautiful dress. Goodness how Viscount Severn has shot up--he is as tall as Louise and both are taller than their mother. Its hard to tell by the first photo but James might be taller or atleast as tall as Prince Edward. The Wessex family is one good looking group!

No it doesn't, the dress makes her look chubby.

  3. Lovely to see the family together at the final. Sophie looks lovely, very pretty. Louise looks terrific, love her dress. She looks pretty and natural. James has grown, he has a lovely smile.

I too think Lady Louise is naturally beautiful, and I admire her tremendously for not being ashamed of her mother's clothing (maybe that's because her mother has good taste). But what I like most about this post is that James Viscount Severn is smiling! He usually looks so solemn. And, I might add, he's growing up to be a very handsome young man. I love the Wessex family. Great to see all four of them at an event on their own for a change. Lady Louise looks good and very fit, and it's so nice to see her brother whom we rarely see otherwise. The dress she is wearing - whether it is one of her mothers cast-offs or not - looks good on her as she has the athletic figure and broad shoulders required for it.
So many Royal daughters are wearing their mother's clothes nowadays and I see nothing wrong with it. On the contrary it's quite admirable all things considered.

I love photo 3 where we see Viscount Severn give a proper smile. He often looks so uncomfortable but this is lovely. Both outfits are okay and appropriate for the heat and the location. Not mad keen on either. AnnieM

Lady Louise is not dressed age-approbiate - hair, makeup, dress - as always, sad.

She looks absolutely fine - and as she seems to be relaxed and clearly enjoying herself I don't see why that is sad.

Lady Louise is very pretty in this dress. Unfortunately she is wearing trainers. Young girls are often wearing trainers with a classic summer dress. That is a style that they like. If I was her I would have chosen a pair of classic espadrilles. Open heel and straps around the leg. Countess Sophie is very pretty and relaxed in her outfit. The skirt, the blouse and the sandals, everything is well chosen and go well together.

Yes, young girls do - but not with this granny dress. Espadrilles OMG, why not ballet slippers?Siv

Peter Pilotto is not a designer for grannies. You're quite aristocratic aren't you. And never have anything positive to bring to the comments.

  9. Yes the dress suits her quite well, no matter where it comes from, if it comes from her mother, a plus for various reasons... but is she wearing tights ? comparing with the color of her arms...
