The centre offers a relaxed environment where older people living in the area can meet up with friends and make new ones. Afterwards, The Duchess of Cornwall attended a reception with members of the Malmesbury Residents Association and a local Age UK lunch club. Malmesbury Residents Association organises events with the aim of strengthening the local community and connecting people.

Crown Princess Victoria visited The Norrbotten Regiment

On January 23, 2019, Crown Princess Victoria visited The Norrbotten Regiment in Arvidsjaur. The Norrbotten Regiment (Norrbottens regemente), whose designation is I 19, is an arctic armoured, light infantry and commando regiment of the Swedish Army and its origins date back to the 19th century. The duty of that regiment is to struggle with difficult terrain conditions and climatic conditions and to ensure surveillance under these conditions. The regiment is specifically trained to perform duty also behind enemy perimeter. The regiment is located in Arvidsjaur.

On January 21, 2019, King Carl XVI Gustaf, Crown Princess Victoria and Princess Estelle visited the Bernadotte Library at the Royal Palace of Stockholm. The Bernadotte Library includes the book collections of the Bernadotte family, totalling approximately 100,000 books. It also includes the Bernadotte photograph collection of around 500,000 photographs. The Bernadotte Library was created by King Gustaf VI in 1952 but it has its roots in the Royal Library (present National Library of Sweden) from 1796. The Bernadotte Library is located in the Royal Castle Northeast wing and shares the same entrance with the Gustav III's Museum of Antiquities.

King Abdullah and Queen Rania attended Arbour Day event

On the occasion of Arbour Day, King Abdullah II and Queen Rania attended a sapling planting event held in Al Kamaliya Forest. A fire occured in Al Kamaliya Forest in the summer of 2017 and since then 9.000 saplings were planted in Al Kamaliya Forest with post-fire rehabilitation efforts. It is planned to plant 20.000 saplings in the forest later this year. Arbor Day is a holiday in which persons and groups are encouraged to plant trees. Although that holiday usually takes place in the spring, the date of the holiday varies depending on weather conditions and suitable planting season.

Japan's Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko and royal family members attended the "Kosho-Hajime-no-Gi" (Imperial New Year's Lectures) first lecture of the New year at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo. In the first lecture, the head of the International Research Center for Japanese Studies, Kazuhiko Komatsu, explained the Japanese folkloric figures known as yokai, which are supernatural monsters, spirits and demons.
