Japan's Royal Family attends New Year's Poetry Reading ceremony

         On 14th January, 2015, Ceremony of Utakai-Hajime (New Year’s Poetry Reading) took place at Imperial Palace. Japanese royal family members Crown Prince Naruhito, Prince Akishino, Princess Kako of Akishino, Princess Hanako of Hitachi, Princess Nobuko of Mikasa attended the 'Utakai-Hajime-no-Gi,' New Year's Poetry Reading ceremony at the Imperial Palace. During the annual event at the Imperial Palace, 'waka' poems penned by members of the imperial family, as well as 10 works selected from the public by judges, were recited.
        Imperial Household Agency released the English translation of the poems of Emperor, Empress, Crown Prince and Crown Princess at Imperial Household Agency Website.
