Oh my word, the King and Queen are so elegant, even the tie is matching the nail polish, which is matching the lip stick. I think we do not talk enough about the men's clothes here (less interesting, yes), but in my opinion Carl-Gustav is one of the best dressed monarchs, if not the best dressed.

Absolutely agreed re the elegance of this dapper couple. But also that we don’t speak enough of men’s fashion, which is interesting from so many perspectives. Men tend to wear clothes of better fibres than women, that last longer, that they wear repeatedly - and this is a worthy conversation. To understand and reflect on so many modern clothes being essentially created from plastic derivatives, cheaply made, rarely worn, then dumped. I think we could learn a lot by reflecting on men’s fashion here!

The queen looks lovely in her suit than fit so well. The other ladies well a very eclectic bunch. Boots with tucked in pants, not my idea of fashion.

Well 16:52, don’t forget that the fun of fashion is how it changes and allows room for individual expression. Also, that different cultures have different fashions. Hence “not your idea of fashion” will be completely correct for most international photos you see, and I think that’s why I like coming here. To see the differences, open my mind. I think all the ladies in the photos have dressed their best and know that unless it’s a gala occasion, Sweden has long been amongst the leaders in more relaxed dressing. And I love that - judging people less on dress and more on who they are.

Paloma.
