Queen Mary of Denmark opened the garden gate of Fredensborg Palace to TV host Søren Vester, who also has a passion for biodiversity. Speaking in the DR program Søren Vester’s Garden, Queen Mary said of the gardens at Fredensborg Palace: ‘It is a wonderful home for many insects, beetles, and fungi.’ In the royal couple’s large private garden at Fredensborg Palace, most things are allowed to grow freely — even the nettles.

Wow, this is a beautiful design, undisturbed by too much of it (like: a whole dress) or by conflicting combinations. This wonderful top is the primaballerina of the ensemble, the "trouser-rock" and the (very nice) shoes are simple and restrained to allow such a rich pattern on the top.

Stunning relaxed outfit for Mary. I do wish that blouses in this fashion era were slightly longer in length as I think they would last longer into the fashion future. And this sort of blouse is surely one to keep and use for a long time to come!

Mary's top is exquisite, and it is properly paired with the tan shorts that shows it off to it's best advantage. I also like her shoes.
I hope the show will be available online at a later date. I'd love to watch it.

Not sure if I can tell she likes being queen not knowing her but do know she was schooled in how to present herself for the role.

      Indeed, Ava.
It also has the so- called " bell sleeves", which are a nice fashion revival.

Beautiful top but the sleeves are a bit too wide. I think it would be even more beautiful on a navy bermuda or with dark blue jeans.
The shoes are fashion now but I cannot wear this type of leather it hurts the skin of my feet. One has to be blessed with strong skin on one's feet to wear this shoe material.

  20. Dear FITZHUGH
You said “makes me feel like I am in a summer garden.
    I can smell the flowers!”
    Such poetic words, such imagination.
Being curious about the designer and fashion house SEA NEW YORK I did a quick check and came up with the following information……….
Their headquarters are in an old factory on NYC's Canal Street that was once used to grow marijuana.
Now, of course, I know, there is no connection whatsoever with your poetic words and SEA NEW YORK’s headquarters being in a building once used for growing marijuana.

I love QM’s way of dressing: elegant, even when dressed more casual, very much according to the type of event. She suits boho style dressing but also other styles of dressing like her ‘modern’ pant suits, evening dresses... Her dressing never gives ‘costume or uniform’ vibes. To me she is an example on how to dress for the occasion.
