I struggle (old biases, nothing more) with any clothing reminiscent of safari suits - hence for this jacket - but I think she has styled it very elegantly. I appreciate that Victoria supports Swedish fashion so well, and wears what is accessible to many other Swedes, but also regret that H&M is seriously unsustainable, seriously fast fashion … and I would like to see Victoria buying from more ethical brands and promoting sustainability in fashion, which is a hugely polluting industry. Even as I say that, I think about all the conflicting public expectations on these famous and royal figures and also say: she’s doing her best and is doing it all so gracefully!

A smart and professional look from Victoria.
I vaguely remember her wearing the jacket down here
in Australia when she visited here a few years ago.
    Cate.

This is a lovely, neutral ensemble. The short sleeved 'blazer' is smart, soft and casual all at the same time, and the pleated skirt provides a pleasing focus and contrast. The 2 colours also pair well together. (Very minor quibble: the tie belt could have been knotted better or more stylishly.) Victoria looks very nice.

  4. What I always love about Victoria is that she carries handbags with which I can identify. Not those small clutch purses that don't hold much.

It depends on what you have to take with you. Maybe when she will be queen one day she'll have a lady in waiting (and if I cannot use that name anymore, I'll replace it by a personal assistant or companion) who will walk behind her with a big shopper containing documents, phone, make-up, tissues and other things a lady might need during her visits.

Fair comment! The ladies who use the clutches have them expertly tucked under their arm to shake hands and know how to use them as fashion props … but are they really classifiable as handbags when all they can probably put in it a tissue and a lipstick … or perhaps, they’re empty, and simply fashion props?!

  5. Cette jupe plissée va à merveille à Victoria mais au niveau de la veste, il me semble que plus courte avec une petite ceinture en cuir nude, son look serait parfait !

Thankful for not having pockets at the breasts. Other than that, well, I could like the skirt with another top or jacket and I could like the jacket with maybe shorter pencil rock. And probably I would like her necklace very much (along with the fact that she is wearing one!!) and the earrings too, if I could see them properly.

The safari look jacket is a rewear. She has this jacket since several years. The white color is still beautiful. I also like the pleated skirt and beige shoes.Together however it doesn't look right. Different styles of jacket and skirt. Or she can wear a short blazer type jacket with the pleated skirt or she can wear pants with the safari jacket. Maybe there are still skirts available which coordinate well with the jacket, but I think it was in the 80s that the safari skirts were fashion. I had one, we called it skirt trousers or pant skirts. I don't know how they are called in English. Women of my generation wore these skirts to go biking. When you stand still with one foot next to the other it looks like you are wearing a skirt. When you start to walk quickly one can see you are wearing trousers. When you had to be dressed up you could buy a jacket like CP Victoria with short or long sleeves. Maybe in the year 2025 you can mix different styles and create new fashionable outfits. It is worth to try out and in the meantime CP Victoria is proving you don't have to buy a complete new outfit each time you are visiting a manufacture or factory. The more I am looking at her outfit, the more I start to like it. So much better than the flower dresses.
