Crown Prince Christian of Denmark began his officer training course after completing his conscription service with the Guard Hussar Regiment at the end of May. Before completing his service, he took part in the traditional “rex tour” – the final major challenge for conscripts. On August 14, 2025, the Crown Prince participated in an inspection before a shooting exercise at Antvorskov Barracks in Slagelse.

As part of the routine, the soldiers’ equipment was thoroughly inspected before the day continued with shooting practice. The officer training lasts one year and is followed by a period of practical service as a platoon leader. An officer in the Danish Armed Forces typically serves as a leader, instructor, subject teacher, range officer, and trainer. The basic salary is around 26,000 kroner per month, but Christian will not receive a salary during the course.

CP Christian has his father’s coloring but I see him looking like his maternal grandfather. Though he has the height and build of Frederik 9th. Good wishes for the young prince as he completes his training.
    Lowri.
