The garden exhibition aims to give the palace park a new dimension and a contemporary touch, while offering visitors inspiration and fresh ideas. Solliden Palace was built by Queen Victoria in 1906, inspired by Italian architecture. It serves as the summer residence of the Swedish Royal Family. The Täppan garden will remain on display in the Solliden Palace Park until August 31.

Queen Silvia looks simply lovely in her pinks. Pretty, lovely, friendly, perfect.

The King and the Queen look dapper and beautiful. I find the clash of the very pretty pale pink suit with the heavy tattoos on the man to be too much. If he’d worn that suit with long sleeves and long trousers - a classic trouser suit - and a classic white button down shirt open necked (without a bow, nor a tie) I think he would have looked m classy, especially if he’d added a hat in the style of the King.

I agree with you but this person wants the tattoos to be seen so to suggest they cover them up is wishful thinking. They do flamboyant well, though not to everyones taste. At least we don’t to suffer through this type of disfigurement.

  4. I guess I´m too conservative but I cannot look past that guy´s ridiculous appearance. These are tolerant times, I know, and the mantra seems to be "you do you", but I´m not ready for this kind of look as a new normal. There´s flamboyant and creative and inventive, and then there is ridiculous clown-territory.

I agree a bit too much eye makeup. I think I would have preferred a long sleeve jacket with the shorts, but it is summer and they want their tats to show.

I’m with you on this opinion Vanessa. Tattoos that cover a lot of the body are of course a valid personal choice, but they don’t match well with formal wear. I would make the same comment if a woman were wearing this same combination with her tattoos. This man with his big smile would have looked excellent in a classic pant suit of any colour, crisp white men’s shirt or white tshirt, and neat leather shoes or sneakers.

The king looks very nice in these colours, and the fit is perfect. They queen lovely in her pastel colours. She must of known who the host was hence the rainbow hat. I would give a penny for their thoughts.

No need to worry: no one is going to dictate you to dress/look similar ;-) Like you say it's a matter of everyone being/expressing themselves. None of them will e.g. force this outfit upon others as "the new normal". So keep on dressing as you like, and others will do the same. Plenty of air in the sky for everyone! :-)

Gee I don’t find these comments negative, just observations and expressing their preferences. I would of said the same if a Beckham had shown up in the same outfit.

  9. Délicieuse Silvia dans cette association des couleurs blanche et rose ; elle a su apporter une touche originale avec le fuchsia de son chapeau !

If the man in pink had worn his shoes and his pink shorts with a simple tshirt, he would have looked coordinated and balanced : but the pussy bow and short sleeved jacket plus all the pinkness and tattoos is a bit circus-like. Maybe he did want a circus look to celebrate with the colours of the garden?
