On July 2, 2025, Queen Letizia of Spain received a delegation from the Proyecto Hombre Association at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. During the meeting, the representatives presented the conclusions of the 68th session of the United Nations Commission on Narcotic Drugs. They also shared details of the work carried out by Proyecto Hombre, along with the current social and health challenges posed by addiction.
In the past year, more than 18,000 people received treatment through Proyecto Hombre, and over 130,000 took part in prevention programs delivered in schools, families, workplaces, and communities. The Proyecto Hombre Association represents the collective effort of many individuals—professionals, therapists, and volunteers—working together to support people struggling with addiction, as well as their families.
Sry, but the First pictures body language is awful and respectless IMHO .. her look is pretty and flawless...
ReplyDeleteFunny how differently we see the same picture ... I just wanted to post how marvellous (straight) her posture is, she never slumps forward when sitting, back straight, looking forward, not downward. This is usually the case with Letizia, who learned the ropes very well, but here the contrast with the gentleman sitting beside her was striking, he is talking with his head and eyes cast downwards, the shoulders not straight. Funny how you interpret it in a different way. Arms crossed would may be disturb me in a tête-à-tête, i.e. in a discussion between just two people.
DeleteWe see it different. I think that she looks rather a little bit sad and very serious. It's a serious issue and she pays attention to someone who is speaking. The dress has a nice color.
DeleteI think there is no disrespect in crossed arms. It is a myth that it is a body language blocking signal. For most it is comfortable when a bit tired, comforting when a bit exposed, restful for a few minutes between more formal poses, warming if the aircon is a bit strong. I don’t at all read disrespect in her demeanour. It’s possible they were sitting waiting for the event to begin and she rests for a few minutes like this. Nearly all of us use this position regularly and mean no disrespect.
DeleteFolded arms are a sign of disrespect? She is listening intently.
DeleteI don't see any disrespect either. At the sight of the first picture, I liked what she is wearing and noticed how straight she was sitting in her chair, not some nonsense body language. It also looks like the man sitting next to her may be speaking with the woman on the other side of Letizia, indicating the meeting hadn't started yet. It is a little awkward to sit, waiting for a meeting to start, and be camera ready when nothing is happening, in case someone snaps a picture that will be published around the world. I agree with above, the AC may have been making the room cool and she was keeping warm. Lastly, compare and contrast the second picture with the first. If that does not tell you that you cannot depend on one picture, a fraction of a second, to give you an accurate read on a situation, you must want to see something negative. The point of the pictures shown here is to show us the clothes to their best advantage. This is a picture that does that.
DeleteThis smocked sleek model with an uneven skirt suits her very well and follows the lines of her delicate figure neatly and not too explicitly, well done!
ReplyDeleteThis is a very intriguing dress.
ReplyDeleteThere are so many quirks about it, and they are all structural and deliberate in a bold way - the broad waistband, the fluid bodice, the sculpted shoulders, the uneven hemline on a full skirt. Signature elements of this designers work, I believe. The slate monotone colour show these elements perfectly, and Letizia wears this dress beautifully.
- Anon 9:13
Gee I love your words here Anon 9:13 and I could not possibly have written better. It’s a beautiful colour on her too.
Delete9:13 described well. Fits as designed. Nice colour, though I still prefer an even hemline this has a nice fluid movement, alot of fabric.
DeleteI have to give high marks to AD for creativity and a complex original design. But, there is a lot I don't like about this dress. The bodice doesn't drape well because it looks like there is too much extra fabric on the lower part of Letizia's chest as well as the back of the dress shown on the model. Perhaps the fabric is too thick for this design. The asymmetrical hemline is distracting. I think a straight hemline would be more pleasing to the eye. The elasticized waistband is way too thick and detracts from the overall design. However, I do like the lovely blue/grey colour of the fabric as well as the cuffs on the sleeves.
ReplyDeleteThe bodice was designed to fit that way, a little blouson. Not everything has to be fit to the body. I can see this being very comfortable in warm weather. I do think the waist would be a bad choice for someone that didn't have Letizia's waistline, but it works here. Diana had many pieces with ruching similar to this look. She also had the body to wear this style successfully. I have come to expect certain comments about color and uneven hemlines. I'm glad you like the color. I do too.
DeleteA dull color for Summer and I am not a fan of uneven hems.
ReplyDeleteQuite a boring look compared to that brightly colored skirt and shirt just a few days ago.
Cate.
Ah if you’re under the hot Spanish summer sun, you’d absolutely value colours like this which are cool. In Europe we don’t have rules on colours for seasons, but rather, match the colour to the person. Letizia looks very good in this beautiful colour and design.
DeleteNo one has rules for colors for seasons except the people here that are living in the distant past.
DeleteI think you have to see this dress when the wearer moves.I love the colour and the special design.
ReplyDeleteLa large bande élastique de la taille ainsi que l'asymétrie de la jupe ample donnent un silhouette originale ; j'aurais plutôt vu ce modèle dans une couleur plus vive !
ReplyDeleteMy own grandmother wore white gloves in summer and dark ones in winter - a long, long time ago and do we have to keep traditions that do not really have to do with fashion, just with tradition? - Individual preferences are of course welcome, but to call everything "boring" that does not correspond to that would be ... boring :-). Letizia's grey dress is daring, the sculptural design fits well with this "non-colour" that allows full plasticity for every line and contour.
ReplyDeleteWhat's the problem with Letizia?
ReplyDeleteShe looks paler than usual in these pictures. Maybe she suffers from the heat in her dress with the large smocked waist band. Only by looking at her dress I start to sweat and have difficulties with my breath.
DeleteNothing at all - she’s exceptional.
DeleteNothing in my opinion. People look for any ‘flaw’ to make themselves feel better!
DeleteI like the colour, fit is okay, not a fan of uneven hems, but that is just my preference. I would like to see a pretty necklace, pearls maybe or a simple gold chain.
ReplyDeleteYou know Queen Letizia doesn't wear much jewelry and certainly no pearls. Why always making the same old comments ?
DeleteI like this dress also nice color.
