On July 16, 2025, Princess Anne attended the 2025 Household Division Musical Spectacular at Horse Guards Parade in London. Titled “Heroes,” the event is presented by the British Army and features performances by the Massed Bands of the Household Division, the Band of the Household Cavalry, the Duchess of Edinburgh's String Orchestra, the Household Division Contemporary Band, the Massed Pipes and Drums, the Army Cadet Force, and the King's Troop Royal Horse Artillery.
Isn't she adorable? Nice dress, properly ruched for her perfect female figure, best length for everybody and every body, good colour, and (probably her Mother's) triple strand pearl necklace, lipstick and her best accessoire: quite a good amount of smiles.

DeleteGreat colour for the princess and the style is okay. Something is off for me. Perhaps the type of fabric, the brocade satin, or is it silk, doesn’t seem to be draping as it should. I miss that she is not wearing her darker coloured lipstick. Love the brooch and necklace, helps in the overall look.

ReplyDeleteI noticed the gloves as well. It is her preference to wear them. She may prefer to cover them for various reasons.

Gloves have always been part of ladies' outfits, not only of members of the aristocracy. If one considers how many hands members of the royal family have to shake ... it is not a bad idea to wear them, simply for protection.
DeleteMy mother grew up in the same era as Princess Anne. Wearing matching gloves, shoes and handbag was their norm. Part of the reason she’ll still wear them is no doubt due to her having been accustomed to them and still enjoying them. With age, and sun, the skin on our hands does show itself older than any other part of our body except face, so they’re actually a very good idea, not just in winter.

DeleteMolte reali indossano i guanti, ma la destra rimane libera come vedo fare a Maxima e Mathilde. Penso che sia anche una forma di educazione e rispetto. Quando in inverno metto i guanti e devo dare la mano sfilo il destro.

ReplyDeleteThe shawl isn’t really a mystery when you consider it was an outdoor event; wrapping a shawl around yourself is a sensible way to warm up.
