On June 16, 2025, Queen Mathilde of Belgium visited Digital for Youth in Kontich, an organization that aims to bridge the digital divide among young people aged 6 to 25. Digital for Youth collects used computers from companies, refurbishes them, and distributes them to young people who need them most. The organization also aims to spark their interest in digital technologies and help them develop essential digital skills.

Digital for Youth was founded on July 31, 2019, by DNS Belgium and Close the Gap. DNS Belgium is a Belgian non-profit organization. Close the Gap collects pre-owned computers from organizations and works with partners to securely wipe, inspect, and configure the devices according to end-users' needs. The refurbished equipment is then used to support educational, medical, entrepreneurial, and social projects.

This is a perfect style for HM. Shirt dresses are far more forgiving than fitted or gathered dresses. The color is also very flattering on HM.
    Lowri.

Love this dress, perfect colour, fit, length. She looks so elegant.

Not bad at all. The darker colours in the print give it a slightly formal, business look.

A second Diane von Furstenberg in our feed this week and both Mathilde and a few days ago Charlene look marvellous in them I think she’s a very clever designer for simple classy dresses that are comfortable to wear and suit many different body types. Not exactly high street but a much more acceptable price point than many of the designer brands we see here.

Queen Mathilde as well as her daughters wore this brand on several occasions in the past. The comments were not always good then. Now that Princess Charlene is wearing "Diane von Furstenberg" too it seems to been accepted as a good brand. Personally, it is not my favourite look for Queen Mathilde. Not because of the brand, but shirt dresses in general I do not like on the queen. Sometimes a tall lady who is very thin looks good in a shirt dress. I can understand that a dress like this is comfortable to wear during summer as a daily business dress to do the visits the queen has to do.

7:20 it’s not because Charlene is wearing this designer that I like this designer. I have liked the designer since trying on some classic wrap dresses several years back. Didn’t buy as nevertheless too pricey for me but I’ve noticed them on others since. I did like Charlene’s this week and Mathilde’s and think the wrap dresses suit many different shapes.

I forgot to mention that Princess Eléonore has a beautiful jump suit by Diane von Furstenberg and Queen Mathilde a silk evening suit in two pieces being wide pants and a sort of short kimono. They were both stunning when they wore these clothes.

Je suis d'accord avec vous Achard62, cet imprimé est un peu trop vieille pour la Reine Mathilde, plutôt un choix que la reine Camilla aurait fait.

    2. That is exactly my view. We have had so many busy prints of all kinds and flowers, for me enough of it.

Queen Mathilde is not called ma'am. It was the late Queen Elizabeth II of the U.K who was called like that. Formally Queen Mathilde is called
"Majesté". How she must be called by her personal staff members I don't know, but certainly not "ma'am", perhaps "madame".

@23:34 a lovely upbeat compliment. @7:07 why correct someone innocently and happily giving a compliment?!

Just to inform you that in the Royal Palace in Brussels and the Castle of Laeken, the habits are different than in Buckingham palace. One is never too old to learn something new. It never came up to my mind to call the late Queen Elizabeth II "ma'am" not even in a blog on the internet and not on social media. She was a great lady and I always called her Queen Elizabeth. If I had to speak directly to her (which never happened), I would have called her "your majesty", because that is what I've always heard was how to speak to her. In Belgium it is easy : King Philippe continued the habit of his ancestors and wishes to be called "Sire", but Queen Mathilde asked to be called "Majesty" which was different than with the former queens who didn't mind to be called "Madame". I really don't know how her entourage (personal assistent, secretaries, ladies in waiting, etc...) must call her, "majesty" or "madame".
