| On December 11, 2019, Queen Elizabeth II hosted the annual diplomatic reception at Buckingham Palace. The Queen and Members of The Royal Family, welcomed the world's ambassadors to Buckingham Palace at the annual Diplomatic Reception. The reception, attended by members of the Diplomatic Corps based in London, supports the work of the Royal Family in representing the UK at home and abroad. | The Duchess of Cambridge wore the Nizam of Hyderabad necklace (she wore it before in Feb 2014). The Duchess wore Queen Mary’s Lover’s Knot Tiara and diamond earrings, most likely on loan from the Queen. The Duchess also wore the Queen’s Royal Family Order and the sash of the Royal Victorian Order, which she received from the Queen earlier this year. The Queen wore a gown by Angela Kelly and the Vladimir tiara. The Duchess of Cornwall wore the diamond Greville tiara. |
They all look amazing. I really like the way Camilla dresses for these occasions - lovely style for a 'woman of a certain age'. Also, LOVE the neckline on Catherine's dress.
ردحذفThe tiaras and jewels are spectacular. Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth looks fabulous;the green with the white is a good festive combination. Not sure about Kate's black velvet dress;she does look very attractive. Camilla looks good pearls and diamonds a good combination.

ردحذفYes of course, but I find this sort of jewelry too heavy, particularly for a woman of her age and morphology. She could have the necklace transformed and simplified.
حذفWhat a feast for the eyes! The Queen’s emeralds are stunning. D. Catherine’s diamond necklace and earrings are perfect with her simple, elegant velvet dress. And let’s not forget the beautiful Greville tiara on D. Camilla. All three ladies look wonderful. My one very, very small quibble is that D. Camilla has paired diamond earrings with her pearl choker, and that looks mismatched to me. (V.M.)
ردحذفCatherine looks magnificent; regal. I wish that Camilla would have avoided wearing a white gown when the Queen was going to be in white (white seems to have become Queen Elizabeth’s signature color for formal evening events, I’ve noticed).

ردحذفThe Queen: Lovely as ever. Catherine, elegant beyond words. Love the neckline of the dress. Camilla, your wearing white to an event that you know the Queen will be wearing white is rather rude. The gown could have been a beautiful ecru color and looked more elegant, than trying to mimic the color of the Queen. The lady dressed in silver, with white gloves, should have chosen a more appropriate hair clip, or something. Something is just off about her outfit all together, though it would be beautiful without the gloves.

حذفI do find some of the comments here very strange. The British monarchy is a well oiled machine and if was not appropriate the Duchess of Cornwall would have been advised not to wear white. I fail to see how her choice is 'rude'. For me I love all three dresses and stunning jewels.

ردحذفOh my word, this is how you do tiaras, other jewels and evening gowns. Take that, Sweden! (just kidding, but what CP Victoria showed in the last couple of days was widely exaggerated, also some of their tiaras mis-matched the gowns a bit). A never before seen emerald necklace on HM QE II, a perfect velvet gown on the DoCa, plus the Nizam of Hyderabad Necklace and new earrings on loan on her. Not to speak of the Cambridge Lovers Knot Tiara, which is her usual choice at the moment. What a dazzling show! Great night!

Katherine reminds me Letizia on China President reception, both with velvet dresses, this is navy or maybe dark blue the other was black. I like the combination, but not the neckline or the shoulders, it's looks strange, i would also to see it it a small or even none necklace, this one is beautiful but a bit to much, and even because she already have the gorgeous Lovers Knot Tiara and and an amazing earrings, I would prefer to see something more simple.

حذفFantastic show from everyone! The Queen's jewels are jaw dropping. I love Camilla's tiara, and she looks beautiful. She has really been hitting it out of the park lately IMO. Catherine's dress is fantastic, that neckline is wonderful, perfect for that showstopper of a necklace. Glad to see a slightly different dress on her, that dark velvet works, and really brings out that regal hardware. Beautiful showing for the BRF!

Camilla looks very 'majestic', head to toe a future queen. There's everything perfect here.
Kate is a beautiful woman and the Lover's Knot Tiara is so nice at her. But I really don't like the dress. It doesn't do anything for her. It's boring and the colour is dark and not nice. It's not a 'bad' style, but also not a good one.
The Queen looks lovely! Gasp at the necklace. Greville collection? Lots of debate there. Camilla looks lovely as well in her tried and true Oldfield. I like how she recycles but I am a bit weary of this gown. And the lovely Catherine! I love LOVE the velvet gown! It's perfectly fitted. We finally see all the regalia! The family order, the riband and star RVO. Nice to see it all. That tiara is her go to and I do like it but I would love to see her try some others at some point. I love her updos but this one I am not a fan of as it makes her face look long and a bit...drawn. Just something a bit aging about it. Still beautiful though. Great that we get some inside shots as this has not been the norm until recently.

ردحذفDuchess Catherine´s dress is not flattering at all and so the hairstyle. Duchess Camilla looks betterr than her. Actually Duchess Catherine is like Queen Letizia one of the most beautiful royal women of Europe.
