King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia presented HM The King's medals

On June 10, King Carl Gustaf handed out HM The King's Medals during a ceremony held at the Royal Palace of Stockholm, to people who made important contributions to society. One of them was the director and playwright, Suzanne Osten. She received The King's medal for outstanding contributions in theater, film and opera art. Others who received the King's medal were director Erik Åberg and the actors Katarina Ewerlöf and Peter Andersson. Queen Silvia was also present at the ceremony.

Yesterday, King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia attended a concert of Lilla Akademien held at Berwald Hall, in connection with the school's 20th anniversary. The Lilla Academy is a music-oriented school that teaches pupils from preschool to high school in Stockholm. Lilla Akademien, (The Junior Academy), specializes in classical music. Queen Silvia is the patron of Lilla Akademien.

    Lovely color suit the Queen is wearing. Such lucky people to get the Kings Medal for their accomplishments.
