The Duchess of Edinburgh is visiting Cumbria for a two-day royal tour focused on the rural economy, sustainable agriculture and supporting young talent in farming. On September 8, 2026, as Patron of the Addington Fund, the Duchess officially opened Whins Farm near Kendal. She also visited the community initiative Home Grown Here near Penrith.

ReplyDeleteI love the overall effect of this outfit, especially the stylish corduroy pants worn with the belt buckle, and the running shoes in coordinating brown. Country casual looks suit Sophie so well!
ReplyDelete2 adjustments I would make: less dressy elevated jewellery -- (more of a brushed or matte metal, so as to relate to the belt buckle) --and a jacket with pockets in a more traditional placement. To me these WW1 military-style pockets are too big for a short jacket of this design. Lyra
How perfectly dressed is Sophie here for walking out on the farm in amongst the very old walks. She looks wonderful.

ReplyDeleteGood news for all those who don't like wide trousers, wide jackets and wide blouces anymore. The last trend is again slimmer pants and slimmer jeans. . The wide clothes will probably not dissappear immediately, but will be replaced slowely and surely by slimmer clothes
