On Saturday, September 5, 2026, Prince Albert II, Princess Charlene, Hereditary Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella of Monaco visited Les Baux-de-Provence, a member of Monaco’s Historic Sites of the Grimaldi Dynasty network. Hereditary Prince Jacques, who holds the title of Marquis of Baux, visited Les Baux-de-Provence for the first time and was symbolically presented with the keys to the town.

In 1642, Les Baux was granted to the Grimaldi family as a marquisate in favour of Hercule de Grimaldi, Prince of Monaco. The title of Marquis of Les Baux is still held by the Prince of Monaco. Administratively, the town is entirely French, while the title of Marquis of Les Baux is traditionally held by the heir to the throne of Monaco. For the occasion, Princess Charlene wore a floral dress by Carolina Herrera.

I worry these days that we no longer see the bright smile that Charlene gave us for a while there. I hope she’s doing fine.

i worry that some people never watch the videos to see Charlene smiling and engaging with the crowd, but instead judge her in a split second photo.

Yes 9:47 I generally smile and certainly at public events if I’m on stage and for photos.

@19:46 I too have seen this trend overtime, both in photos and videos. I too worry given her past, and having so enjoyed her return to broad smiles that we saw over several years after that… and hope she’s doing well now.

@Anon 19:46, you "worry", really? and you suppose we are all interested in your ideas about the inner disposition of a person based on some photos? Answer is No.

Agree @19:46. I too have observed her over the years, wish her happiness, and worry that her joyful smile is now not systematically seen. Hopefully just the photos chosen recently and not the pattern that seems to be there.

  4. This dress is stunning, but combined with her height she wears this beautifully. The dress is very flattering of her. The children are always beautifully groomed and dressed.

Carolina dresses are so feminine, they have movement and class. A very nice look for the princess.

What a lovely visit. Especially for Jacques to actually experience their bloodline history and traditions is amazing. He might not grasp the full weight of who has been before him but still, it’s his heritage.
I adore PC dress. Perfect choice for the event. It’s fits her perfectly.
Princess Gabriella looks as lovely in her white dress and tan colored sandals. She’s definitely had a growing spent since we last saw her.
Lovely day for the whole family to have experienced together.
    Lowri.

Beautiful family living in the most amazing sunny part of the world but It makes me wonder if they ever go out in the sun given how pale they all look especially at this time of the year!

Probably protecting their skin each time they go out. Very wise given the risks of skin cancer for paler complexions.

Their paternal grandmother was irish and Charlene has irish roots.
Some People from these regions dont get sun tanned, its not like mediterrenean olive skin that tans easily.
i think you are not well informed about skin types!

As an Australian, I am very familiar with skin damage from sun exposure. If you look at Queen Mary in a recent post https://www.newmyroyals.com/2026/09/queen-mary-visits-mary-elizabeths.html
we can clearly see the skin damage on her forearms. The white spots are known as "age spots", they are permanent and appear out of nowhere in later life (speaking from experience) as a result of heavy sun exposure in earlier years. Many Australians of Caucasian descent develop them if they don't consistently protect their skin in their youth. Unfortunately, choosing to be careful with the sun in later life does not reverse the damage already done. Lyra

Same as many of us, I cannot tan at all…my English/Scottish skin just doesn’t allow it as much as I’d love a little color!

Beautiful dresses for both mother and daughter. The Herrera dress seems too have some interesting woven structure as well as the print. Lovely!

Charlène est ravissante dans une robe très jolie sans fanfreluche
Les enfants sont adorables mais Jacques est assez timide c'est dans sa nature, en grandissant il prendra de l assurance

The Carolina Herrera dress is described (under the photo) as a midi dress. But to me it looks more like a maxi dress.

Checked their website where it also says midi but also reaches the feet of the model. Unusual givens that it’s a maxi. The fabric up close is prettier than visible in these photos, but I was shocked for usd1435 (!!!) that it’s a synthetic mix and not a beautiful silk or such. 66% cotton + 33% synthetic, can you believe it! I couldn’t bring myself to pay even 10% of that price for that fabric.

There is much wishful thinking on this blog.
Exemple : How can one see Princess Charlene is wearing flats ?
I clicked on every picture of her and I cannot see what kind of shoes she is wearing. I only can see the points of her shoes which are black. So I assume she is wearing black shoes. That's all. One cannot see if she is wearing ballerina's, kitten heels, half high heels or anything else.
It is not the first time that I discover wishfull thinking lately. Another exemple : the grey hair in Queen Mary's hair ? I clicked on every picture and didn't found any where I could see grey hair. And there are more exemples. Too many to describe here.
Conclusion : Or there are a lot of people who deperately need glasses (I already wear glasses) or there are people on this blog who have a lot of imagination.

Ok, but I've seen photos of Charlene in instagram and there are photos of her in this outfit and dadaa: also photos of her @gianvitorossi slingback ballerina flats!
There are people here who know because they are looking at other pages too.

You're very dismissive of others considering in the 8th pic you can clearly see Charlene's flats as she is sitting down. Maybe you're the one who needs stronger glasses.
