King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida of Thailand are making a three-day State Visit to Vietnam at the invitation of Vietnam’s President Tô Lâm and his wife, Ngô Phương. On 14 September 2026, the King and Queen arrived at Noi Bai International Airport in Hà Nội, where they were welcomed by Lê Khánh Hải, Chairman of the Presidential Office.
On 15 September, Vietnam’s President Tô Lâm and his wife, Ngô Phương, hosted an official welcome ceremony for King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida. The ceremony was held at the National Assembly House in Hà Nội. Since the two countries established diplomatic relations in 1976, this is the first State Visit to Vietnam by a Thai King and Queen.
