On 12 September 2026, Princess Anne attended an event at Daylesford in Kingham hosted by the International Sheep Dog Society (ISDS), which works to support the training and welfare of sheepdogs. During her visit, she met team members from across the United Kingdom, watched qualifying runs and presented awards for contributions to sheepdog trialling. Princess Anne is Patron of the ISDS.
During her visit, Princess Anne also presented the prestigious Wilkinson Sword award. This year, it was awarded posthumously to Tim Longton and presented to his wife, Linda, and son, Michael. The International Sheep Dog Society was founded in 1906 with the intention of stimulating interest in the shepherd, the shepherd’s calling and securing better management of livestock by improving the shepherd’s dog.
