On 14 July 2026, King Felipe VI, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, and Infanta Sofía attended the traditional meeting of the Board of Trustees of the Princess of Girona Foundation at the Eurostars Grand Marina Hotel in Barcelona ahead of the 2026 Princess of Girona Awards ceremony. They also met with the recipients of the 2026 Princess of Girona Awards.
Later that day, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, together with Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía, will preside over the 2026 Princess of Girona Awards ceremony, during which filmmaker Gemma Blasco, researcher José Eduardo Méndez, entrepreneur Mercedes Bidart, social entrepreneur Hatim Azahri, entrepreneur Patricia Aymà, and researcher Rafael Luque will be honoured in their respective categories.

I like the pantsuits. I prefer Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofia's. King Felipe with no tie and unbuttoned buttons. He must be feeling frisky.Woo!
ReplyDeleteNone of the other gentlemen are wearing ties either!
DeleteThe other men are dressed the same as Felipe. I think it's fine; men shouldn't have to wear neckties - women have options, why not men. ~~Ruthie
DeleteIt seems all the men got the dress code memo; they are dressed identically, not a tie among them! interesting. Lyra
DeleteI think a lot of people do not realize the t° in the South of Europe. If it is between 40 and 45 degrees, I think neck ties are not relevant. In Spain there are every day spontaneous fire's in nature. The tourists are becoming fugitive's who have just the time to grab their things and take their car to ride away as fast as they can. Sometimes they are too late when the fire is everywhere. People are burning alive every day.
DeleteOh là, peu conformes à sa morphologie, le tailleur de Sofia.
ReplyDelete"Meeting of the Board of Trustees" etc. is sure an occasion where they have enough reason to wear trouser suits. Our three ladies look fine - but it is not easy to say more than that about it. The suits are not extraordinary or stellar, they are OK. Best fitting goes to Letizia.
ReplyDeleteI think from memory that El Corte Ingles is a low priced, high street fashion brand. I’m always impressed by royals and celebrities being down to earth and wearing simple clothes that those around them could also afford. I like it!
DeleteLetizia's and Leonor's pantsuits have a perfect fit. Sofia's outfit reminds me kimono uniform. She should get rid of the belt, then it will be a nice suit. I wonder why Sofia never carries a handbag like her elder sister and mother.
ReplyDeleteI agree re the suits. I too thought that Infanta Sofia’s suit jacket looked like a judo top. Queen Letizia’s suit fits best.
DeleteInters that both red and blue pant suits are from the same designer. I like both , however prefer the lapels and no pocket flaps of the blue suit, they give a sleeker less masculine look, if that is an appropriate description.
ReplyDeleteEveryone is wearing a pantsuit. There is not much of a contrast or print to break up the monotony. I like the bright colours but it's a bit boring from a fashion point of view. The only one that distinguished himself is Felipe with his white open neck shirt.
ReplyDeleteAll three lovely fitting suits. My preference is the blue, very feminine, and I am not a fan of double breasted suits generally, especially with a tie belt. The exception is the Duke of Edinburgh, his slim physique can carry the extra bulk of the front closing.
ReplyDeleteJ'aime beaucoup le tailleur-pantalon de l'infante Sofia !

All three women wearing pant suits and wearing them well. Princess Leonor’s is the best, both the colour and fit. That punch of red is a standout and her pants are not very loose-they look fitted. Infanta Sophia’s would have looked better had she not belted her blazer with that sash. She has a thick waist and the belt accentuates it. She is still very young and she is still learning what works on her body type…a lot of hits and misses in fashion. Nonetheless, the white suit gives her a nice clean silhouette. The queen always looks impeccable.
ReplyDeleteAnon.00:38. Excuse me, but I don't understand that phrase "she is still learning what works on her body type". If Sofia can't see with her own eyes whether this or that garment suits her, she has the mother with impeccable fashion sense who could give her some valid piece of advice.
DeleteThe fitted pantsuits look wonderful, especially Princess Leonor, smashing! First time I have seen King Felipe in open neck shirt, so handsome!
ReplyDeleteCP Leonor and Queen Letizia both are wearing a well fitting pant suit. El Corte Inglés is a big store comparable to Harrods. You can find anything there among which the last fashion in clothing of fabulous designers. I prefer the pant suits of Q. Letizia and CP Leonor. The cut of Infanta Sofia's pant suit is not adapted to her morphology. When looking at the model one can see she is skinny. In that case the belt is looking good, but not on the Infanta.
ReplyDelete.....You can find everything there....
DeleteThe Princess of Girona Awards took place in Barcelona, not in southern Spain.
