On July 7, 2026, Queen Máxima received Jamie Dimon, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of JPMorgan Chase, at Huis ten Bosch Palace in The Hague. The meeting focused on the financial health of customers and households, and on how the financial sector and the business community can contribute to improving financial well-being.
For the occasion, Queen Máxima wore a ruffled silk blouse and a matching silk skirt from Johanna Ortiz's Pre-Fall 2024 collection.

Call me cynical after a career in the financial markets but none of the world’s top banks are remotely interested in the small players that are normal income households. They otherwise give as little as possible and take as much as possible. This is universal and not likely to change, ever.
ReplyDeleteYes 15:46, a sad truth. Nevertheless I like Maxima’s dress very much and appreciate her efforts for equitable finance. You never know what tiny pearl of truth she can leave with this banker.
DeleteGreed and more greed unfortunately.
DeleteAgree !!
DeleteIt keeps Maxima relevant. A good image for her legacy.
DeleteHer dress on the other hand, is too busy for a business meeting.
I find her dress very apt for a business meeting. She’s dressed very well for business.
DeleteI love the look of the white print against the burgundy or red. Both pieces are functional in style and can be mixed and matched with other items. This is one of Maxima's more conservative outfits.
ReplyDeleteFabulous matching separates….love the color and bold pattern and it’s perfectly fit on the Queen. Her jewelry is minimal but still adds to the outfit.

Love the color and the print of the separates. The length is good, Queen Maxima is tall she can wear the skirt like on the model. If a short lady is wearing the same skirt it must be made shorter. Johanna Ortiz is a brand which is worn also by Queen Letizia sometimes.
ReplyDeleteAnother outfit that Maxima wears very well. I like the colour and the print. The length and overall fit is also perfect.

I agree she looks great
DeletePre-fall collection in the summer, pfff iit was in the Hague 25 degrees, a sunny day!. Oh Mambo, such lovely doggie!
ReplyDeleteI do not see Mambo on any of these pictures.
DeleteYes, the combo is part of a Pre- Fall collection but, as you can read in the caption provided, it is made of silk, which is a light and fluid material.
DeleteIn addition, old castles and palaces are normally colder in their interiors , regardless of the weather conditions/ ground temperatures found and perceived outside.
I wish to add at Anonymous 05:25 that in my daily newspaper I found a picture of Mambo running from one room to another (picture N° 2) but here it is not visible. He interupted the photo shooting. They cut the part of the picture where little Mambo was visible. He is so cute, just like Maximus the cat of Belgian Prime Minister Bart De Wever who lives in his office in Brussels.
DeleteNice outfit. Perfect for a business meeting
ReplyDeleteThe color and print/pattern is unusual, but I like it. The two piece ensemble is very attractive, the hemline is straight thankfully! This outfit fits and suits the Queen well. I like the skirt this length, its elegant, the skirt has some slight swish! Love the color of her shoes, blending well.

ReplyDeletePre-fall collection of 2024 yes but in silk and colors can be worn all over the year. Maybe Q.Maxima had this dress already in her dressing but we never saw her wearing it. Maybe there is airco in Huis ten Bosch, besides these old palaces have thick walls and it is probably cooler inside.
Her dress is far too casual for a business meeting, but then it matches her unstyled, messy hair.....as usual.
ReplyDeleteWhen I still worked in an office when I was a young woman we wore our summer dresses at work. Of course they were descent summer dresses with long or short sleeves and a normal neckline. Never a deep neckline. So I do not see where is the problem.

DeleteWow, I love your comment!
You are talented at tearing a beautiful and smart Queen to pieces.
It is your opinion, of course, I already know the answer.
Unfortunate placement of the pattern, especially the large flower on the stomach!
