On Wednesday, May 27, 2026, Emperor Naruhito and Empress Masako, together with Crown Prince Akishino and Crown Princess Kiko, attended the welcoming ceremony for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. of the Philippines and First Lady Louise “Liza” Araneta Marcos, who were visiting Japan as state guests, at the East Garden of the Imperial Palace.
Following the welcoming ceremony, the Emperor and Empress met with the President of the Philippines and the First Lady in the Take-no-Ma State Room of the Imperial Palace.
Masako ainsi que sa belle-soeur sont très chics dans leur tailleur à la couleur pastel ; chacune a choisi un chapeau après y avoir apporté une touche originale !
