On May 27, 2026, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia of Spain presided over the ceremony for the presentation of the 2024 Gold Medals for Merit in the Fine Arts at the Cathedral Primada de Santa María in Toledo. Through these awards, the Ministry of Culture honors 38 individuals and institutions from the world of culture.
Among the recipients were Los Planetas, José Mercé, and Camela; actors Maribel Verdú, Carmen Machi, and Eduard Fernández; visual artists such as Sandra Gamarra and Cristina de Middel; writers including Elvira Lindo and Bernardo Atxaga; and designer Juana Martín.
The Gold Medal for Merit in the Fine Arts recognizes individuals and organizations that have excelled in artistic and cultural creation or have rendered outstanding service in the promotion, development, dissemination, or preservation of art, culture, and artistic heritage.

Letizia always looks great in red.
ReplyDeleteI think she wore a reasonably similar red dress last week.
Perhaps this dress has a bit less fabric, particularly in the sleeves.
Cate.
I love this dress. The red colour and style are spectacular. It looks like a wrap dress with a wonderful tie at the waist. It's cool and comfortable for hot weather.
