Wij Manor was acquired a few years ago by FAM, which is owned by the three largest Wallenberg foundations, in order to develop it as a meeting place in Ockelbo. During the visit to Prince Daniel’s hometown area in Ockelbo, the Crown Princess couple were accompanied by Prince Oscar, who also had the opportunity to meet his paternal grandparents.

  2. Cette robe longue imprimée très estivale convient toujours à Victoria ; elle a su bien choisir les sandales - Oscar est de plus en plus craquant !

  3. I love the colors combined with this dress, very feminine and pretty. The dress is nice, be it a bit long. The skirt of the dress has nice swish and movement. Prince Oscar is so sweet!

What a beautiful dress! The sleeves are shorter and less full on Victoria than on the model, which I prefer. She looks stunning. Love pic 2, where Oscar is shaking hands, and pic 4, where the family is posing for the camera. Oscar looks facially very much like Victoria; he will grow up to be very handsome, I'm sure!

The dress looks better on CP Victoria than on the model. I like the change of the sleeves, much better on Victoria. If the dress was not long it would have been a very beautiful outfit for a summer day.

Beautiful family, what a pity, that Estelle was not there too!

I could imagine this pattern with these colours on a simple shift dress. What a pity that nowadays fashion dictates this type of romantic "girly" fashion (or shirtwaist dresses, both imply big swishy skirts). But then, if voluminous and swishy and everything, why this flower overload and then puff sleeves on top of it? Not my cup of tea. Worst of all are the sleeves and specifically for Victoria: the closed high neckline is not good for her.

I like this dress very much but definitely agree the same material would be lovely in a sleeveless shift dress to just above the knee! Of course fashion designers tend to be copy cats and all go one way for a time, but that’s ok, just look for the years where fashion (and colours) IS to your taste, buy a few items and keep wearing them until they wear out and the trend inevitably comes back! That way saves heaps of money because there’ll be lots of years you don’t buy in any new clothes!

My thoughts exactly. I love pink and green together, but this dress is not doing anyone any favors.

As you made perfectly clear this dress is not your cup of tea. So happy for you that you don’t have to wear it. The Crown Princess feels differently, as do many other women. It think it is a beautiful dress.

@22:04: Your post was quite dispensable. That Victoria loves this dress and many of you too, is perfectly clear to everybody. So what? Am I not allowed to dislike it and say so? Because you disagree? Do you remember "Opinions may vary", dear Late Queen Elizabeth's wonderful sentence? Just try to stick to it.

22:04 fair enough! I sometimes want to write the same when people say “she shouldn’t wear X” or “this dress does no one any favours”… what they mean is they don’t like it and that’s fine… but the overgeneralisations and shoulds and musts are really tiring. Then those commenters jump up to defend their right to say that the wearer has chosen her own clothes wrongly!

Pretty dress fits so well, I do prefer a more open neckline, but she wears these collars well. Nice to see Oscar participate, he will be a great asset to his sister when the time comes

These prairie dresses hardly look good on anyone. No exception here, in my opinion

Oh, they can look good, it just depends on whom and where. Mostly on little girls. Or on adult actresses in romantic love movies, preferably in scenes where the male hero takes them into their strong arms for a kiss. :-)

    2. Yes, but then Daniel still is her hero and they have a romantic love story!😊

I think they look good on many. It’s ok you don’t like them. I love them and find them so comfortable to wear and romantic and feminine.
