On Tuesday morning, March 31, Queen Máxima attended the celebration of the 70th anniversary of Oxfam Novib in The Hague. She also officially opened the new office during the gathering. Following the unveiling of a sculpture to mark the occasion, the Queen spoke with staff members and partners working in programme countries.
She then attended the panel discussion “Youth For Change: Why Our Voices Matter,” which focused on youth participation and the protection of civic space and the rights of young activists and changemakers. She also viewed an exhibition on Oxfam Novib’s 70-year history, titled “Generations of Changemakers.”
Oxfam Novib works with partners and changemakers to develop structural solutions aimed at addressing inequality at its roots. This is carried out through projects worldwide, focusing on four key themes: equal rights and opportunities, humanitarian aid and reconstruction, a fair economy, and climate justice.
On March 31, 2026, Queen Máxima attended the launch event of the GelijkGezond Foundation. The organisation aims to increase the number of healthy years of life for people with lower incomes, thereby reducing health inequalities and strengthening financial security.
GelijkGezond works with so-called “perseverers” (dedicated professionals): individuals who, together with the people involved, address their problems while collaborating with general practitioners, local healthcare and, staff working in the social sector.

The Queen’s dress is very pretty and fits her beautifully, except, to my eyes, the hem is out of proportion. To me, because of the cut of the skirt of the dress, it would look so much better if it were a few inches longer. I understand and respect that others’ opinions on the length will very.
ReplyDeleteIt is an old dress and dresses where less long when this dress was new.
DeleteWhat a great dress
ReplyDeleteQueen Maxima looks loverly very 1960's. One proviiso though. A much better foundation garment than the one she is wearing and the belt where it is supposed to be would very much improve the look. The fraction too tight dress and not impeccable fit screams Natan but I may be wrong. However her smile forgives everything.
ReplyDeleteThis outfit is a very conservative look for Maxima. I like the unusual rose colour, the length and the perfect fit. I think she looks great. She always has a radiant smile on her face and looks very happy.
ReplyDeleteThe color of the dress is what is called in French "rouge brique"/"stone red" /"steenrood".
DeleteLove
ReplyDeleteLovely dress and best length ever, for female body proportions in general. I suppose (without looking it up) that it is a re-wear and the dress is old - but so good, I also don't see any undergarment problems. The colour is very special and excellent on her.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful well fitted dress, in proportions to the Queen's shape, I love it! She looks very attractive. The length is perfect, slight swish of the skirt of the dress, Yes!
ReplyDeleteThe hat looks great, so chic. Love the color of her clutch and shoes. Good visit, well done Ma'am.
She should have kept her hat on, her unkept hair is not a good look.
ReplyDeleteHer hair is not queen-worthy😅
DeletePerfect colour, terrible hat.
ReplyDeleteI think the hat is very well shaped and looks very well on her. Why “terrible” in your opinion ?
DeleteWat een crisisjurk en de hoed maakt het er niet beter op.
ReplyDelete'Positive' comment.
DeleteLove this look on her.

I agree with the posters who suggested she keep her hat on because her hair is a mess. The dress is a great color for her and really flatters her figure. She looks good! It’s interesting that in the photos where she is wearing a hat, she doesn’t have a necklace. I wonder when she put that on.
ReplyDeleteJust before or after lunch I suppose. In the morning she visited Oxfam for its 70th anniversary. In the afternoon she was at the "Gelijk gezond foundation". Read the introduction and the text under the photos.
ReplyDeleteThe dress is a bit too simple and the far too black eyes donot help to make it less boring.
ReplyDeleteThe eye makeup is an horror for me; I find the dress quite lovely in its simplicity.
DeleteAnother ” positive” comment
DeleteSo "simple "= "boring". I suggest you change your field of activity to comment in celebrity fashion blogs for more excitement.
DeleteLove this look, fabulous,
ReplyDeleteTe zware makeup, hoed overbodig, jurk pruma voor de gelegenheid.
ReplyDeleteHoed is niet overbodig. Her first engagement of the day was an official opening - hat required. Her second engagement of the day was an informal one, so she removed the hat and added a necklace.
DeleteThe red-haired lady in the green dress behind her - at first glance I thought she's Sarah Ferguson...
ReplyDeleteYork Sister's crossed my mind at first glance, but close enough! The green outfit loos not bad..
DeleteAn old dress that should be donated to Oxfam. The waistline and belt are high above the natural waist, the length needs a few more cms, glossy tights are such a no no, make up too heavy, the hat does not improve the look but did (for a while) hide the awful hair, and of course the `trademark` tacky plastic earrings. The colour is fine but not especially springlike or in vogue.
ReplyDeleteWhy does she visit such a horrendous club which is not a longer a charity club but a extreme leftwing activists club. The royal family should stay away from these people.
ReplyDeleteOh, come on! Everyone is respectable, whatever your opinions are.
Delete“Extreme left wing”? You mean like communist, or just socially aware and active (with different views from yours perhaps)?
