Queen Máxima of the Netherlands, together with the Minister for Climate and Green Growth, Stientje van Veldhoven, visited Haarlem and Utrecht in connection with the start of the eleventh Week of the Circular Economy. On March 19, 2026, Queen Máxima visited NS Train Modernisation in Haarlem to observe the refurbishment of old trains using reused materials. The delegation travelled in a specially modernised double-decker train to Utrecht Zuilen.
