Yes indeed, fabulous pants, well done Mary. But I dont feel these pants need a blouse as heavily decorated as this. They can be the central feature in their own right. I would pair them with an absolutely plain minimalist blouse (any colour) in the same vein as the top in the photo with the model. Lyra

  6. The top is elegant and romantic with a lovely embroidery pattern. The high neck collar and cuffs add some character. The pants on the other hand are a bit clownish. A classic, long, straight skirt would have been more appropriate. The two toned shoes are fabulous.

    1. I agree with all your well stated comments about Queen Mary’s outfit. I like the colour of the blue dress worn by the Governor but it’s too long and the black shoes don’t go with it. The photo of the Queen and her sister is heartwarming.

The blouse is a rewear but still beautiful. I don't like the trousers. They make me think at the "barrel" trousers which are fashion especially among the young girls. Beautiful shoes.
To close the state visit Frederik is wearing a formal suit which is fitting much better than what he has worn before. He also kempt his hair.

It is not "Ribkoff" trousers from Joseph, but wrap trousers from Joseph Ribkoff, a designer: https://www.breuninger.com/at/marken/joseph-ribkoff/culotte-in-wickeloptik/1001664201/p/

Those are some interesting trousers on Mary. A unique look as well when one's feet are together. I do like her top, and would love to see it untucked, worn over indigo denim, similar to the model.

I liked this blouse when she first wore it and still think it very pretty and feminine. I must say photo 4 surprised me with the shape of her pants, not sure if I like them but they fit her well.

I remember this beautiful blouce from TM’s state visit to France. I have to say I’m not overly fond of the culottes. A simple black trouser or skirt would have given room for the blouce to take centre stage.

Well, this is a great look. I like these pants. Something different. Leave it to Mary to be a surprise with something new, for us to talk about.

I have been in Hobart this January. Arrived and left by boat (which was very special, given that very unique panoramic view...). What a peaceful wonderful pretty place, lovely like Mary, daughter of this city. - Ribkoff is a well-known designer in my part of the world, known for classic, rather timeless outfits, a good deal independent from actual fashion, so wearable for many years, good for occasions like going to the theater or to parties, receptions etc. These trousers are quite a good example.

  19. Wow! Queen Mary looks effortlessly so stylish, and chic. This outfit is a knockout. The Zampatti pants are original, unusual and work beautifully on the Queen, suit her perfectly. The simple, elegant embroider is beautifully crafted and not overdone or busy. I love this blouse. Its very flattering, feminine and elegant. Fits in the pants waistband perfectly. The perfect finishing touch is the two tone shoes, I love these shoes! The Queen has great shoe game!

      Agreed, @ Ava.
I'd say this unusual Zampatti pants make the look and are a statement piece on their own.
I guess that they stun even more if seen in movement given their fluid, flowing fit.
The Gianvito Rossi two tone pumps are so stylish, this brand never disappoints.

Love this look, I would have chosen much modern and less classic shoes, but that's a tiny detail. She looks fantastic.

Ooh I’m on the other side of the fence from most of you, by considering these trousers utterly weird and a very definite fashion mistake.

I preferred her the other day wearing another white blouse and a black skirt by Carla Zampatti.
